Daniëlla couldn’t help but smile when she thought of how Cameron thanked her for all her hard work, but Jared also popped into her mind and she wondered what happened between him and Anita. Why was Jared being so nice to her?
She was still wondering about it the next morning when she walked into the dining room. Neither Jared nor Cameron was there yet, and she kept to one side. She had learnt if she didn’t make eye contact with the other nobles, they all pretended that she wasn’t there, and she wouldn’t have to make polite conversation when she didn’t want to.
