❤Emily - 2010
Ashley Killer, now sixteen years old watched over Colin and Christina Kahn. The twins had just turned ten and the three of them were sitting in the waiting area of The Blood Sun Pack infirmary. Trevor was pacing the area as they all are waiting for Emily.
“How much longer?” Colin moaned out, annoyed for being kept inside for so long. He longed to be outside, running around.
“I don’t know,” Ashley whispered back as she kept an eye on her father. Ever since Graham and Yvonne had died, Trevor and Emily had taken over the pack and as she looked around at the rest of the pack members, she couldn’t help but smile. She had known that Emily would make a wonderful, compassionate Luna.
“Alpha,” everyone looked up as Doctor Norman stepped out of the room. “Congratulations, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl,” the good Doctor smiled around at everyone before he gestured for Trevor to follow him.
Emily was laying on the hospital bed, tired and emotional. She softly cooed at the bundle in her arms.
“Oh,” Trevor said as he looked down at his daughter. “Beautiful,” he whispered as he leaned in and kissed Emily’s forehead. “Absolutely beautiful,” Emily nodded slowly as she laid back and relaxed.
“How are the kids?” she asked, referring to the other children.
“Ashley is watching over Colin and Tina,” he said, assuring her that the kids were safe and calling Christina by her nickname, Tina.
“Welcome to the family, Sabrina Killer,” Emily said softly as she closed her eyes. She wanted to rest. “Can you…” Trevor nodded eagerly as he took their pup and held her safely in his arms. He remembered what it was like holding Ashley for the first time. It was amazing then and it is amazing now. He glanced over at his wife and smiled. She had fallen asleep. Trevor kissed her forehead once more before leaving her alone to rest. He wanted everyone to meet his daughter.
❤Carl - 2016
“Do you think it was meant to be?” Carl glanced over at his son, Colin, and sighed. His kids were with him for the weekend.
“No, son, it wasn’t meant to be and where is this all coming from?” he asked. Tina was somewhere around, not that he was too bothered by that, he knew his daughter was more than capable of looking after herself. His son, on the other hand, had decided that this was the weekend to discuss his failed marriage.
“Do you think that if mom met Trevor first, we would still be here?” Colin asked.
“No, son, I don’t think so. In fact, things worked out just the way it was meant to,” he explained. Divorcing Emily had been such a relief. He still loved her, but he wasn’t in love with her. After everything they had been through together, they both knew they had given it their all. Now, he had been blessed with a second chance mate and he couldn’t be happier. His mother, although he was sad, she was gone, wasn’t messing anything up and he had been able to pursue his relationship with Carol-Ann naturally.
“Do you think-”
“I think that’s enough questions for now, why you don’t go and ask your mother for some cookies?” Carl suggested as he spotted Carol-Ann enter the kitchen. Colin rolled his eyes but went over to his stepmother.
“Do you think mom is ok?” he asked her instead. That boy! Carol-Ann smiled at the young wolf and nodded.
“I’m sure she is doing just fine,” she answered.
❤Emily – 2016
“Trevor Killer! I will kill you!” Emily yelled out as she pushed as hard as she could. The sound of their new-born cries filled the room, drowning out her huffs and puffs. She glanced down and smiled. Another member had joined their family. Tessa Killer.
“I love you,” Trevor leaned over and whispered in her ear, making Emily smile happily and sleepily.
“I love you too,” she replied as she watched the nurses clean up her pup. “Another one, Trevor,” she commented, and Trevor chuckled.
“Yeah, another one. Are you happy?” he couldn’t help but ask. Emily focused on him and smiled.
“Very happy,”
❤Emily – 2020 (Present)
“You kids better get in here before I come out there and ground you all!” Emily yelled out from the backdoor of the kitchen. She eyed her children, who were playing around in the backyard, and smiled. Her family had grown, and her children could no longer be considered young. Ashley was twenty-six, married with two pups, and was the pack's official oracle. Colin and Tina had turned twenty just a few days ago. Sabrina was ten and Tessa was four. Emily left the back door open as she turned to face the tiny toddler who was sitting in the blue highchair playing around with the small bowl of peas, she had given him. Dylan Killer was the newest addition to the family at just eight months old.
“Mommy,” Emily glanced down to see Tessa tugging on the dark blue skirt she was wearing.
“What is it, sweetheart?” Emily asked her.
“I want to color,” Tessa moaned out. Emily nodded and the little female bounced out of the kitchen. Colin, Tina, and Sabrina came rushing into the kitchen, laughing, and teasing each other as they did so.
“Settle down!” Emily called out as she took away the bowl of peas Dylan had been playing with. Since he wasn’t eating any of it, she would try something else.
“Where’s dad?” Sabrina asked as she sat down at the kitchen table. Tina had gone straight through the kitchen to who knows where, whilst Colin stood leaning against the counter.
“He will be home soon,” Emily informed the young pup. “Go and get cleaned up for dinner,” she added as she cleaned up after Dylan. Sabrina nodded and left the kitchen. Emily took this opportunity to talk to her eldest son. “How’s training going?” she asked.
“Which?” Colin questioned as he picked up an apple from the fruit basket on the counter.
“Both,”
“Mom, training is going fine,” he said as he took a bite.
“Colin,” she said in a warning tone.
“Mom, don’t worry about it alright?” Colin made his way out of the kitchen but stopped to kiss Dylan on the head before leaving. Emily sighed as she thought about how her son was struggling. Being a wolf was not a problem for him and he was definitely Alpha material. Trevor was training him regularly and soon Colin could very well take over the pack. However, magically, Colin wasn’t doing very well. Although he was powerful, he tended to lean towards his wolf side more often than not. This interfered with his magical abilities. Tina on the other hand was more of a witch than a wolf and she barely shifted. Actually, she barely used any of her wolf abilities. Tina was also quiet and stubborn. Emily rang out the cloth she had been rinsing and wiped down the table before taking out plates and cutlery.
“Hi babe,” Trevor greeted as he came in through the back door. “Oh, there is my little munchkin,” he cooed out as he spotted Dylan. Emily smiled as she took out the roast of lamb from the oven and started to carve into it. Years of cooking, Emily had found that her favorite place to be was in the kitchen, cooking up a storm. Once done with the lamb, she took out bowls of various sides from the warmer draw.
“Dinner is ready!” she yelled out, to get the other kids’ attention. Trevor came over to her and quickly pressed his lips against hers.
“Hi honey,” she smiled up at him when they pulled apart. “How was your day?” she asked him as he sat down at the head of the table.
“Good, busy and yours?” he asked as he watched her dish up mashed potatoes, sweet peas, and carrots. “Looks delicious,” he whispered. Emily blushed as she poured gravy over his potatoes and placed a large amount of sliced lamb onto his plate.
“Busy as always,” Emily said as she moved around the table, dishing up. “Kids!” she yelled out, once again trying to get them to the kitchen. Tessa came bouncing in.
“Daddy!” she cried and ran over to him. Trevor acted fast and caught her, pulling her against him and onto his lap.
“She needs to learn,” Emily said to Trevor, referring to the fact that Tessa was now four and should sit at her own spot at the table, not on his lap.
“And she will,” he said as he reached over and took the plate from Emily. It was Tessa’s plate of food. He placed it next to his own and Tessa made herself comfortable and started eating.
“I’m going to kill them,” Emily whispered as she turned towards the doorway. She opened her mouth to scream out to the kids again, but Trevor beat her to it.
“Dinner is ready!” he yelled out in his Alpha voice and Emily finished dishing up. Sabrina was the next one to come rushing in.
“Sorry,” she mumbled as she took a seat on the left side of her father. “Hi daddy,” she said to him before digging into her plate of food.
“Savages,” Emily muttered as she sat down on the other end of the table and turned to Dylan. “Who wants some mashed potatoes?” she cooed out as she scooped some onto a spoon. “Here comes the airplane,” she sang out.
“Ugh,” Colin said as he entered the kitchen and sat down on his mother’s right. “Really mom? Airplane style?”
“Oh shush! You fell for it,” she teased. Tina came in at that moment and sat on Trevor’s right.
“We all fell for it,” she said. “Hello,” she greeted her father softly.
“Hi Tina, Colin,” Trevor greeted as he stuffed a piece of lamb into his mouth. “Well, isn’t this nice,” he said, looking around. “A lovely family dinner,” Emily smiled as she looked around. Although they had their problems, she couldn’t be happier.
❤Later that evening…
“I am exhausted,” Emily said as she finally entered their bedroom later that evening. “Dylan is finally sleeping but Tessa isn’t,” Trevor looked up from the book he was reading and chuckled.
“And the others?” he asked.
“Colin went out and Tina is with Sabrina and Tessa. Watching some cartoon, animated, thing,” Emily explained as she stripped out of her clothing and slipped on her light blue robe. “I’m worried about Colin,” she said as she glanced over at her husband.
“Don’t be,” Trevor reassured her. “He is doing very well,” he added.
"Still, I am worried about him," she argued. "Carl mentioned that Colin was anxious the last time they had gone to visit him,"
"Babe, Colin is old enough now to take care of himself. He knows he can come to us if he has any problems," Trevor pointed out. He was right, it wouldn't help to worry about him.
“Hmm, I’m going to take a bath,” Emily said as she left Trevor and went into the adjoining bathroom. Emily put the plugin and opened the taps of the bath. Waiting for the water to fill up didn’t take too long and soon she was laying in the hot bubbly bath, relaxing.
“Mommy?” Tessa called out from the other side.
“Come in,” the door slowly opened, and Tessa poked her head inside.
“Can Sabrina sleep with me tonight?” she asked and Emily rolled her eyes but smiled.
“Sure,”
“Yay! Thank you, mommy,” Tessa squealed out before running away, leaving the door slightly ajar. Trevor slipped inside and closed it behind him.
“Kids,” he muttered as he slipped off his black PJ sweatpants and Emily quickly sat up, making room for him. Trevor climbed in behind her and the two of them relaxed together. “You really shouldn’t spoil them,” he commented.
“Oh? I shouldn’t?” Emily teased as she leaned against him. “We both do it,” she pointed out.
“We do,” he said, and she didn’t have to see him to know that he was smiling. “Should we make another one?” he whispered in her ear and she giggled as she turned a bit so that she could see his face.
“Really? Another one?” she asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Yeah, sure, why not?” he teased.
“Well, maybe because Dylan is still a pup,” Emily argued her point. "Plus, don't you think we have enough?"
“The more the merrier,” Trevor said as he leaned forward and captured her lips in a sweet, loving kiss.
