REN "I just got word that the Alpha King is on his way to New York City." Ren lazily drop the book he is reading and lifted his head and looked at the old man standing before him. "And what it has to do with me?" Takashi, the old man and Ren's caretaker just sighed. "Master don't you think it's about time you put a stop in this facade. Thousands of years had passed ever since that 'day' and our people needed you more than anything else." Ren leaned forward his usual lazy demeanor absent. His golden eyes which is usually calm is full of coldness. Even the temperature started dropping. "You should behave well, Takashi. You know that I don't want to be reminded of that hateful day." Takashi just shrugged his shoulders not even affected by the sudden drop of temperature. Well, he's used to it. Serving Ren for almost a hundred years, he knew how his mood changes with just a little provocation. And even insisted. "But Mas—" "Fine. Fine. I will go." He didn't want to go back to the US. Especially to exercise control over to those fake witches. They were hard headed and very disrespectful. He was more likely to snap their necks and moved on than be worried with this nonsense. And why did he have to do this policing anyway? What's the use of those old hags he took and ordered to do the administrative work in his behalf. But Takashi, his caretaker is adamant that he needed to go there personally. And suggested not to ignore this particular Governor. That the man issued some pretty nasty threats that would affect a large number of witches living in USA. And because of that he has to leave his home and make nice with politicians and shifters in America. "Seventy-five percent of all witches live in the USA now. It's only right for you to be there to represent them, Master. They're all still young, they needed your guidance more than anything." "Ugh. Okay. Okay." With a huff, Ren stood up and took his tailored Hugo Boss suit jacket from Takashi's hand. He wouldn't mind going there with his more comfortable kemono but that's not how he can appear in public. He's supposedly the King of Witches, their leader, so he had to look the part even though he didn't want to. He quirk his brows when he saw his luggage which is already pack and waiting just outside the door of his room. "You're quite sure that I will go." "Even if you're cold, master, I know more than anyone that you are committed to your duties." A small smile appears in his lips, and like always Takashi is blinded with his Master's beauty. But like always it vanished quickly. One hundred and thirty days to be exact when Takashi was saved by Ren and become his personal caretaker. The witch is full of mystery and even though he's with him that long he's still in the dark on regards with his private life. He just knew Ren as a very beautiful and powerful witch. He never experienced the witch's magic per se but if he's the leader of all the Witches all over the world Takashi is sure that his master is more powerful than what he appears to be. The Witch is full of mystery. His past. His power. No one knew who and what exactly he's really capable of. Takashi is curious like everyone else but he knows what's expected of him. Maybe that's the reason why his master had favored him this long. And Takashi wouldn't let his curiosity change that. But maybe someone out there can be his loyal companion or even a lover. A person or even Supernatural who can give Master's comfort to be with him and share all his history, his troubles and his fears. Because Takashi is sure that being immortal made his Master very lonely for a very very long time... * When Ren stepped off the magic circle, he was surprised to see a lot of witches waiting for him. He was accompanied by his caretaker Takashi and traveling using a teleportal sigil is pretty convenient. But without knowing where the right place he had to appear would be a lot more troublesome. Takashi suggested the New York International Airport, it's much easier, he would admit because he's been here before. But he's not expecting this kind of welcome. Breathing in the foreign air he caught the stench of pollution, discord and mayhem. "What is it, Master?" Takashi, his personal caretaker, looked around them then he lowered his voice. "Master? Did you sense something?" Ren had stopped walking, turning in all directions. Takashi and the witches who came in to welcome them are in high alert. Ren's senses are far more superior than any normal Supernatural. But what he's sensing is confusing him. Frowning, he let his senses comb the whole area. The air wasn't too humid and the weather was not that terrible, but Ren can't help the unease he felt the minute his foot touched the ground. It's been too long since the last he came here. Ren is not sure if its the reason why he felt that there's something different. But something is telling him that its not what he's thinking. This feeling is more vague than that, it feels like he is being pulled by something. "It's nothing. Just haven't been here for a while. A lot of things has changed. Especially the smell. It's different than I what remember.." Ren wrinkled his nose and walked towards the limo prepared for him. "I think the home you're staying in will be to your satisfaction, Master Ren." One of the witches who come to welcome him says. "I'm hopeful. Sorry but what's your name young lad?" It's satisfying to see the slight twitch in his mouth. He's probably in higher hierarchy in the Witch Community of this country. And he's also probably annoyed as well that someone who looks like his grandson's age is calling him as young lad. "Its Rafael Ragan, master." Ren didn't find it surprising that Takashi suddenly sprung into action, and if he did not stop him on time, that old man would probably reduced to ashes. Lazily waving his hand he nullified both of their spells and languidly lean his body more comfortably on his seat. "You shouldn't have stop me master. He should know what it means to disrespect his king." Ren look at old man Rafael and wrinkle his nose. "Stop it, Takashi. I'm the Master. Don't tell me what to do." Ren's lazy eyes slowly turn cold. Looking at Rafael who's been on the verge of passing out, drowning from his sweat and bodily fluids. "What to do with you? Do you really think that because I'm in seclusion most of the time I will take your insult and won't reprimand you. You're too naive." The coldness of his eyes intensify. The inside of the car started freezing, while the outside temperature is still the same. It didn't even take a minute before Rafael is already out cold. Probably dead. With his body frozen like an ice statue. Sighing, Ren's eyes turn back to normal. "I can't believe he's that weak." Shrugging he look at his caretaker and says, "Takashi take care of the rest." "Yes, Master." Takashi didn't even flinched disposing the body with just a flick of his finger. The ice statue of Rafael crumbles into fine dust, not even leaving anything behind. Ren turn his head and looked outside not even bothered. And raised one of his dark brow at the sight of mountainous terrain ahead of them. He's familiar with this forest. He still remembered that many years ago, he'd been here with his—. He bit his lips. He do not want to be reminded by that time. It's been too long. He should forget about it. Past is past. No one even remember. He's the only one remembers. Everyone who knows about that incident were all dead. It's time to let go. Golden eyes sparkling, he watched the gorgeous scenary before them, his mind full of memories he wished he could forget... _______________________
