Gage’s POV I was running late, the snowfall from last night, though mostly cleared, was still making people drive slower and there had been one fender bender at a junction where it looked like a car had skidded over the stop line. When I pulled up, I couldn’t help but stare at the woman who was waiting on the sidewalk, rms wrapped around her protectively as she eyes my truck. Figuring she didn’t know it was me, I lowered the window, my tongue sticking to the roof of my mouth for a second as I soak in her cheeks, pink from the cold and the knitted bobble hat that is pulled down low over her ears. My excitement to see her sours as Hali’s face falls, realising that I’m taking her to the cabin, and not my brother. Jealousy flares in my chest, something I’ve never had to deal with before. H
