I make my way back toward the office, travelling in my truck, i'm already second guessing whether I went too far with Hali just now. I hadn’t meant to say all that to her, but it was so obvious that she thought I was looking for a quick lay that my mouth opened before my brain engaged and every thought that had been rolling around my head fell out.
The way that she seemed to think that a one night of fun was all that she was worth in my eyes loosened my tongue. I’m not opposed to one night stands, but I don’t actively go out and pursue women to use in that way. If it does happen, it’s a mutual agreement with the rules laid out before I leave te bar. You can usually spot a woman who is looking for a night of fun with no strings attached, and a woman who is after something more.
