Irina Dusty concrete came into view, closer than it should be. I was on the ground, slightly dazed, and my focus slid in and out. How did I end up here? Out of habit, I began to scan my body. My face throbbed, and I was fairly sure I’d fractured my right eye socket along with my cheekbone. I felt my eyeball scrape across the busted base of the socket.
