22. Escaped

Collin and I eat dinner in my apartment. Being in Zeke's arms and Lionel's dark eyes keep popping in my head. They have me turned on.

"You ok, baby? You're quiet."

"I need you."

"It's yours." He smirks.

I drop my underwear. His eyes go black as I straddle him and the chair.

His teeth squeeze my n*****s through the dress. "You do need it."

I kiss his marking spot and rock my hips on him. "Yes, sir. I do." I feel it getting hard for me.

The dress comes off over my head.

His hands and mouth on my boobs make me crazy. I get his pants unhooked and pull it out. I need it in me.

Both of us let out a quiet moan as it slides in inch by inch.

"f**k WOMAN." His hips come off the chair. I nearly fly off, but he holds me tighter. We finish clenched onto each other, moaning.

I collapse on his chest. "You bit me."

"I'm sorry baby. I couldn't help myself. Are you ok?"

"Yea. My fangs came out on their own."

"That's what happens." He leans me up and checks my neck. "You're marked."

I turn his head and my mark is on his neck. "Wow."

"It'll fade off after a couple of hours. It's not permanent. We're too young for that."

"Can I put it back later?"

He chuckles. "You can put it back whenever you want."

"Can I put it on the other side now?"

He pats my butt and stands up with me. "Only 1 at a time, and I need longer than 90 seconds after coming that hard. Let's get some sleep, babygirl."

I get marked again in the morning. Then we spend a couple of hours getting ready. We eat breakfast and I snuggle him. "Why did you bite me?"

"Other men around you. I get jealous and territorial. Those feelings take over."

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry. I want you to have a soulmate. I want you to be loved forever and happy. I know you have to get to know them. But I can't see it or watch it. I may bite you more around the event days or if you're spending a lot of time with someone. Know it's because I love you. It's not because I don't want you to find someone. I understand. I'm just territorial."

"I'm sorry this hurts you."

"Don't be, baby. We know what happens. It'll be worth it when you get a soulmate too." He hugs me. "Until then, I'll take all the memories. I get to love you first, babygirl."

"I get to love you first too."

"Yes, you do."

The schools are on break for a couple of months, so he eventually goes over to his shop. I go back to the front of the building and stare at the pillars. The guards shoo me away, so I don't get hit by the carriages.

I go to my office and summon a black box.

Dipak shows up with it. "What are you doing?"

"Making outfits."

He must decide that's fine. He gives me the box and takes off. I make a separate folder in my folder and call it sculptures. I need to see Tye in an assassin's outfit. Honestly, I need to figure out what an assassin's outfit is.

30 minutes later, I roam into Dipak's office with a bunch of borrowed blacksmith weapons, and smack Tye with the box.

He stands up. "Guess I needed to change." I put the hood up, and pull it down over his eyes a bit. Then I fix a few things. He's in black and the outfit has some weird straps and weapons. I hand him a weapon for his left hand.

"DO ME NOW." Johen is standing beside me, trying to take my box.

I get Johen sorted and Nike and Elek are standing up. "Honestly, boys." They laugh as I put them in outfits too. "Interesting the back 4 stood up though."

Thora smiles. "So, tell us about the king. What's his name?"

I smile. "Lionel."

"I thought the common man was in the lead?" Tye stares at me.

"Zeke."

"I thought it was the damn prince." Nadine rubs her eyes. "I can't keep up. Why did you call them the back 4?"

I keep tweaking the outfits. "Think. Espionage. Ninja. Spy. Assassin. Undercover. Intelligence. Cloak and dagger s**t. That's these boys. Send them in and nobody will know what happened."

"What happened with Zeke?" Tye picks up a different weapon.

"Nothing. I like him."

"So, what about the other 4?"

"They're the front. Everyone sees them as kings. They would choose not to do the hidden stuff. Not that they can't do it. They could be spies or assassins. And the back 4 could put on crowns and be formal. I just think they fit better like this."

Dracul laughs. "The back 4 like being sneaky. The front 4 don't have time for that shit."

"Exactly. They can all do either position though. Who would you rather meet in a dark alley, Dipak, or Nik? And what would the differences be?"

Kane cracks up laughing. "Dipak would be standing in the light. 'I don't have time for this s**t. Now you die.' Nik would f**k with the target. Get them scared and running. They would pay for whatever they did."

Nik smiles. Johen stares at me.

"Johen, you would pretend to be their friend. You could get them to trust you. You will get intelligence before they die."

"Do me. And what the hell happened with the king?"

"She slept with him."

Marcus nods. "He joined nap time. Thora, don't say it like that."

"Sorry."

"He showed me the elephants and took me for a ride. Then I fell asleep. Tye, you're somehow best friends with the target and his friends. You were at the bar all night playing cards with them. Nobody saw you leave. We don't know how the guy died."

Nadine laughs. "Yep. Rock solid alibi. You'll probably have to give a speech at his funeral. You 2 were so close."

Everyone cracks up laughing.

Thora smirks. "Tre has even less time than Dipak. He doesn't say anything at all. He breaks the guy's neck in the alley and is back in his office in 2 seconds. He's not even late for his next meeting."

Tre nods. "It was really a hassle to go deal with that. That's why we have the back 4. I need to be on time for s**t. Appearances and punctuality matter."

Everyone laughs and the guard steps in. "Collin is here for contracts."

"Send him in."

"So, you like the king the most?"

"Tye, let it go. This is all new. They've only met once."

"Well, she has daddy issues and he's old. You're going to have to watch her, Marcus."

"Let it go for now."

"Fine."

Collin comes in. "I have contracts for the girls that need to be signed." He glances at me and the back 4. "Who the hell pissed you off?"

They chuckle and I shake my head. "I'm going to go sculpt now."

The guard walks in. "King Lancaster and advisors to see the table."

Tye points at the guard. "That asshole is in the lead."

Thora jumps up. "Send him in. You can be Evie." She smacks me with a box, and I'm Evie in a short tight dress.

"Woman, you better have underwear on." Collin glares at me.

"She does." Mary nods.

Dipak shakes his head. "Have him wait."

"Yes sir."

Omar glances around. "I'll work on the daddy issues. Tye did have a point. I also don't think we need everyone to meet him."

Tye sits down. "I'm wearing this."

"Yea, this is our new uniform." The others sit down.

I scratch my head with the double-sided battleaxe. "I wonder if he likes wine?"

"Let's go ask." Thora pulls me into the elevator.

"THAT IS NOT A TOY."

"WE KNOW."

We go to the waiting room. "Do you like wine?"

"Yes. I like a good wine."

"Me too."

Thora pushes me down beside him. "What kind of wine do you like?"

"I'm more of a red person."

I scratch my head. "Have you ever tried gold wine?"

"No. Never heard of it." He reaches over and takes my battleaxe.

"That's mine."

Thora pulls me up. "Let's go get some gold wine, so he can try it."

"Ok."

We come back with gold wine and enough glasses for them. Then the guards show up and escort them to Dipak's office.

"This is an excellent wine. Thank you. Who owns it?"

Thora smiles. "She does. Let's go find something to do."

We get to ground level and stare at each other. "I want to sculpt."

"Have fun. I'm going to take Ana somewhere."

I start sculpting Johen on the end pillar.

A brain stands beside me. "You have been informed to stop."

"No. I don't want to."

"Marcus will come down here and beat your ass."

"AAAAHHHHHHH!"

"He is moving to the elevator."

"I STOPPED." I run for Dipak's office. They stare at me when I run in. "I WANT TO SCULPT."

Marcus shakes his head. "You can not alter the building. Submit what you want to do and we will check it. But you can't tear down pillars."

"You can't sculpt in that outfit either." Tre rubs his eyes.

I take off my heels and jump up and down. "THIS IS FINE."

"No altering the building without permission. I mean it."

Nadine runs in from the elevator. "YOU ARE ALL ASSHOLES."

Mikey, Luke, and Mario come in next. "Mario came to visit, dad. Can we go to the zoo with Thora?"

Frode jumps up. "Bring her back."

"Yes sir."

Mario nods. "My mom kicked me out. Told me to find something else to do."

Dipak rubs his eyes. "When does school start back up?"

Collin's in an assassin outfit too. "Not for 2 months."

"Ugh."

Mikey stretches. "Good morning."

Omar glances around. "It appears we have a teenager problem."

Thora runs in. "WHY THE HELL CAN'T I GO TO THE ZOO?"

Tye stands up. "We are moving to the island."

Dipak shakes his head. "No."

"Would you rather deal with this?"

Johen makes a door. "There's a conference room on the island for you, Dipak."

We run through it.

I find Collin and jump up and down in front of him.

He nods. "Let's get you a swimsuit."

We all take off into the swim shop.

"NO."

Tye yells over everyone. "GO DO YOUR MEETING. WE GOT THIS."

"WHERE IS THE CONFERENCE ROOM?"

"TAKE THE HALLWAY BESIDE THE PACKAGES SHOP."

I run all over and go down the slides. I love it here. Then I see brains putting blow-up slides and jumping stuff out on the ocean. Luke comes running to me. "WHAT IS THAT?"

"I WANT TO GO."

By the time we get to the conference room, Nadine, Mikey, and Mario are with us. I run in first and get knocked into the table, so I stand on it. I point at the window. "LOOK."

Mikey yells, "OPEN WINDOW."

Papers blow everywhere.

"I WANT TO GO THERE, DAD."

Elek runs in behind us and cracks up laughing. "Sorry. They escaped. You can eat lunch on the beach and then play on that stuff. It's still being set up. It'll take half an hour. So, watch and eat." He holds his hands out and I jump. He puts me on my feet. "Dry the room."

"Yes, sir."

Collin sits by me on the beach.

"Where were you?"

"Riding some coasters with Tye and Johen."

"You like them?"

"Yea. You want to try?"

"They're too big."

"There's a little water ride."

We finish lunch, and he takes me to the ocean play stuff. Then the rides. Turns out I like big rides.

Nadine and Thora steal me after that, so I can see the king. Collin goes off with Tye again.

The girls made Lionel and his advisors get on swim shorts and t-shirts.

I crack up laughing. "I WANT TO SHOW YOU THE RIVER RIDE."

"I'LL HELP." Thora gets a bunch of tubes.

We show them how to get on, and Lionel gets a tube by me. I giggle and try not to tell.

I point out every single thing I see to him. I fall off the tube 3 times. Thora falls off twice, pointing out everything to the advisors. Then we get dripped on.

Lionel wipes the water off and side eyes me.

I giggle so hard and hide my face.

We come out the end of the rapids with him holding me sideways, and I am laughing my ass off.

"I GOT SAVED TOO." One of his advisors has Thora. She's hanging sideways laughing too.

We make them go down the slides next. Then try the pools.

"I'm going to watch you do the slides from that chair over there."

"Can you see from there?"

"Yes. I will watch."

I run for the slides and get knocked into the deep pool. I panic the second I realize where I am.

Collins' arms wrap around me. "You're ok."

I cling to him for dear life and cry.

He lifts me out and Elek picks me up. "We got you."

Collin gets out and picks me up. I wrap around him. "She's done."

Marcus comes running. "WHAT HAPPENED?"

"She fell in the deep pool. How did you know?"

"Brains alerted. Sit in the shade with her, Collin. Try to calm her down."
