leaving behind

maggies pov my window is open i can feel the cool fall morning air grazing my cheek as it creeps through my window, my eyes are closed and im willing myself to fall back into a deep sleep, but unfortunately i have always been an early bird, my aunt says i get it from my mama. she would rise like the sun, and so do i. i roll over and look out my window, its dark but its starting to light up, my alarm hasn't gone off yet i watch the sunrise, i watch it change from black to navy blue to a purple pink and orange color to the sun shining bright in the sky is bright light blue with a decent amount of white fluffy clouds floating by. i roll back over throw my comforter off me and put my feet off the side of the bed and slip my white fuzzy slippers on i stretch and push myself off the bed to start my day. like everyday i do the same routine. my name is margarita, my parents named me that because they feel in love over margarita pizza and so forth i was created and born. i was bullied growing up for my name i was chubby and people would say was i named that because i cant keep the pizza out of my mouth. i hated it for a long time. so i changed it, i go by Maggie. i get off my bed and head towards my own personal bathroom in my room, all my make up and beauty products are scattered over the sink top, im not a messy person but my bathroom is very unorganized. but it is for me so it works, i wash my face and start to my skin care and than i will apply my make up for the day i do a natural look everyday nothing crazy and nothing that gets me noticed. i would say im fairly decent im about 5'8 thicker but in shape, i have light brown hair (usually its dark the sun lightens it) my eyes are so dark brown they look black. i walk back out and throw on my workout clothes. and no im not going to workout with make up on. i usual walk 6 blocks to get my favorite iced coffee and bagel every morning,i do another 4 blocks after and than head home. as i walk out the door my aunt greets me good morning. "good morning aunt anitta" i kiss her cheek as i grab a bottle of water. "Good morning margarrrrita" my good for nothing uncle says well rolling the r in my name i hate when he does it. "morning" i say and head out the door. i make my way down the stairs and out the door, we live in one of those big apartments that are the whole floor except we have two of them its old looking like its from a movie historical with big pillars and dark wood it is beautiful, but what i wouldn't give to be miles away from here. i turn to my left and start walking with my headphones on i walk to the beat of every song plays. i get to the coffee shop its called angels i get a large iced coffee and a everything bagel with ham and egg on it. the girls here know me now and have my order ready for 7:30am sharp because i am never late. the manager stella hands it over to me and i throw her a 10 dollar bill its only 7 dollars but i always give them the extra because they are so good to me.
