Zander stretched out his aching muscles. He had personally escorted Nicki’s father to his private airfield and accompanied him to Charles De Gaulle Airport in France, to ensure he caught the next flight to Tokyo. As soon as he saw the flight take off, he returned to Scotland. He did not like leaving his mate or the mess behind for the four-hour trip, but he had to ensure the man was definitely heading back to Japan for his plan to work. It was now ten at night, but he headed directly to school, wanting to spend time with Chloe. He needed to work fast to ensure he could obtain all of Nicki’s father’s money and give it to her mother and having Chloe with him would keep him calm and not have him distracted by worrying about her.
