Chloe sat in stunned silence, anger raging through her body, mixed sadness for her friend along with Josh.
“Tell me again!” Chloe spat out.
“Your father contacted Nicki’s parents, and said something about her and Josh, and insinuated she was not safe here. As a result, Nicki’s parents are coming here on Thursday to see if they are going to allow her to stay. They threatened to take her back to Japan.” Zander repeated the details of his call once more to her.
“I need a laptop” Chloe growled out in anger and frustration.
“Chloe, we need to think before we act.” Zander cautioned her.
“Oh, trust me, I have already thought, how dare my parents try to destroy Nicki’s happiness in this way!” Chloe growled from her chest.
