Lacey stood with a distraught Cheryl, tears streaming down her face. Years of pain and anguish caused not only by her abusive husband but also because of the rejection of her mate washed through her. One minute she was filled with joy, the next anger bubbled up inside her as she thought of how Oli had left her to suffer.
