Chapter Sixty Seven
On the edge of the forest, lit up by the light of the silvery moon, Caroline lay bundled up in a heep on the ground. The screams and howls were replaced by the sobs that shudded through her body. Tears streamed down her pale face, as she curled up in a ball of pain.
"What is happening?" Chloe linked with Zander, her heart breaking for the traumatised woman before her.
"I am unsure, she is not responding even over mind link." Zander responded.
"Is it Duncan? Has he been killed or something?" Chloe continued to ask.
Zander shook his head in response, for all he could not link with Duncan anymore, he did not smell death in the air, nor did he feel the loss of a pack member.
