When everyone had climbed into the main passenger carrier, Aaron set a waypoint on his map and commanded the blimp to take them to their destination. This was the first time any of them had set foot on any aircraft. As the blimp took off, its engines fired one after the other and they started drifting amidst the yellow dust clouds. The air was laden with noxious sulphurous fumes and it hurt to breathe. Aaron had to manoeuvre the vessel carefully, to make sure they stayed as low as possible. The upper atmosphere was toxic and reduced visibility drastically. The evening wasn’t particularly windy, but a calm breeze was blowing from the south, which made their journey smooth.
