Chapter 23: The House

Theo woke up in a cold sweat, his head spinning, and his body feeling as if it was run over by a truck.  Every time he tried to open his eyes, there was a prickling pain just behind it and after a few seconds of trying to open them, he finally gave up and just stayed in bed with his eyes closed.  He had another nightmare, but this time it felt as if it was much worse. Besides just falling from a very high place that seemed like it was never-ending, there were also bits of debris falling down with him and things that felt like thorns inside the hole and they were scratching his body all over.  At one point, the pain from all the scratches and marks felt all too real that the thought of it being just an illusion was almost forgotten by Theo. He was starting to get lost in his own nightmar
