Chapter 12: The Dream

He was in a dark room, almost somewhat cave-like at how compressed it felt and there was barely any air circulation. He knew his eyes were open but it felt like they were not because there was nothing to see but darkness.  As a child, he was never afraid of being in the dark, but after what happened, he would instantly get nervous. He was beginning to get nervous, but then he realized that this could just be a dream and not real life. He raised up his hands to see how many fingers he had, but then he realized there was no way to see anything in the pitch black darkness and decided to try and feel his fingers instead.  One by one he counted them.  Seven… eight… nine… ten…  Eleven?
