The next day I got stuck into the paperwork for the bakery I had ignored the previous day, I had good reason to ignore it, so I wasn’t too stressed, but I was angrier with myself with how far behind with work I was.
Dale kept his word and called twice to check on Abigail and me. He admitted he found it hard to concentrate at work as he was missing us and Joanna didn’t help as she had been glaring at him all day. He had wanted to come over but decided to go see his sister to make sure she wasn’t to upset with herself. I promised him I would speak to Joanna and tell her what was happening.
Just as I was finishing cleaning up the kitchen Joanna called by the house, her surprise visit was to return the trays from her party, but I knew it was to get the gossip from me about Dale.
