Chapter 21: The smell of musty sheets tickled Thaddeus’s nose and made his eyes burn. He fought back a sneeze. His head pounded, nausea washed over his body, and the urge to vomit became overwhelming. He rolled out of bed, and on his hands and knees, he crawled to the commode cabinet to empty his stomach contents into the chamber pot concealed inside.
