Carter pov
It had been five years since my mate passed away. She was the love of my life. We had grew up together, we promised each other if we weren't mates, we would always stay close friends, but when we shifted into our wolves we knew right away we were, our parents were happy, when my father stepped down from being alpha, he pulled me to the Side and told me how happy he was that Cindy and I were mates, everyone was rooting for us, when we got married I knew she was with my pup, and when she had our daughter it was the happiest day of our lives, but something bothered me, who called her to the field why was she out there when she knew it was dangerous for a Luna to be by herself in that field, I just don't know what happened, when I felt the pain in my body it almost made me doubled over, I knew something was wrong, when I shifted to my wolf and ran I swore I saw tina's wolf run faster then I was, she felt it to, she got there before I did and when I did, all I saw was my mates body in the arms of Tina, she was crying, and had blood on her from head to toe, like she fault off whatever that killed my mate, but before I could do anything,
The pack showed up and saw blood on her. They beat her pretty badly, I wasn't innocent I wanted someone to pay for her death, I just stood there watching them beat her when it was done, I told them to go home, I'll handle it I walked over to her after they had left and set with her until she awoke, I then picked her up and carried her back, no one saw as I carried her to her room and cleaned her up, I told her how sorry I was and left the room, I cried for several hours as I cried myself to sleep, it was her that pulled me through all of this, and then Ellie came to me told me she would raise the child as her own, until she grew up and became alpha, but I knew something was up I smelled my mate on her, then I knew she had some kind of part in all this, I swore my revenge and I will have my revenge, but after five years I have calmed somewhat down, and Tina had helped me through it, I know some of the pack members still blamed her they still beat on her, and I know she had not aten well for years, I'm going to have to change that little by little somehow I will have to, when I took her to the pack doctor he was stunned that she hadn't came sooner, he had to stitch a few cuts up.
When he was done I took her back to her room, and she said thank you for your help. "Tina honey no need to thank me," *please stop calling me Tina, my name is Van, he shrugged, ok Van, get your sleep your going to need it for tomorrow she wondered what he meant by i'm going to need it for tomorrow. What was going to happen, that worried her, when she finally fell asleep. but the dream she had was that she was dreaming of a wolf with gold and silver eyes. It came to her tilting its head at her. And then she looked up she saw another wolf. It snarled snapping its jaws at her. Then suddenly it jumped over the other wolf, that's when she woke up in a sweat.she had to take a cold shower to cool off, when she was done she dried off and put on a long shirt laying back down to go back to sleep. That night the dream did not come back.
