she can't contact Rahat, he would be so angry that he not even look at her, let alone talk to her and discuss all this,
Rushda was of no use then either, she was so in trance of Shadab miyan......so, with that decided Insiyaa tried to be as silent as possible while locking Farida's door from the outside to both culprit locked in and left from there hurriedly to wake them both.
She needed them right then and there.....
opening the door of Shawkat's room at guest quarter she hurriedly started poking Shawkat's shoulder.....
"shawky get up please......shawky, shawky, we do not have time, get up, SHAWKK" She was yelling and whispering at the same time
''Whhat'' He whined in sleep but huffed and got up and rubbed his eyes before looking at Insiyaa's small burkha clad form,......
''what happened......hell broke loose ?'' He sarcastically asked
"not yet......about to though" Insiyaa said in a very serious expression
"I've got them....let's go, you didn’t believe me before, i have evidence, get up now, I've got to wake up Ruthba too"
her faint whisper could be heard from the other room too when she went to the direction of Ruthba's room.......which was easy because in the three rooms that they were given, they were interconnected.
Shawkat sighed and jumped out of the bed........Ruthba was shivering from cold, she tightly wrapped her shawl around her and her whole face looked puffy from sleepiness.
"what are you guys waiting for ? Come" Insiyaa said and with that she directed them to the way where she locked them in the room.
''isn’t this that maid Farida's room ? why are we here'' Ruthba yawned and asked
"Oh! you would not believe, what i just saw" Insiyaa muttered before sliding off the front door lock ever so slightly without making much noise and
"remember i told you, that i asked Farida where her husband is... or if he's dead.....at first she looked surprised and reprimanded me for even saying such thing, so i gathered he's alive but she'd always ignored the question of his whereabouts" She whispered looking at both of them, and signalled them both to keep their mouth shit
At that point both of them caught on the way Insiyaa's thought was going, their sleepiness was gone,....holding her breath Insiyaa simply knocked 3 times
Once!
no sound came!
Twice!
there was this abrupt shuffling noise came......as if someone just fell of the bed, trying to get up hurriedly or God knows whatever was happening inside.
Ruthba stiffened, she was fully awake now.
''so what if she wouldn’t tell you anything, you are a stranger, that's not abnormal'' Shawkat shrugged whispered back
"no but her diplomatic answer was, she looked so scared.....i mean it's not like I'm going gobble her husband down after finding him right ?" Insiyaa shrugged

"she never answers where is he"
''maybe she isn’t com_for_table......you woke us in the middle of the night to show us a maid's husband ?'' Ruthba asked with an incredulous expression
but suddenly one look at Insiyaa and Shawkat looked very serious and exchanged another look with Insiyaa. He realized exactly where this conversation was heading.........
so, this time Shawkat sighed and knocked again, Loudly!
Insiyaa mouthed 3....2....1 and grabbed both their hand and in a flash the trio dashed away from the door to behind the dark wall into hiding......
and it was soooo dark that no one could see her s**t eating grin
''you are crazy Insu" Shawkat grumbled making her giggle, a chuckle left Ruthba's mouth too
''seriously ? are we playing what hide and seek ? you think it's funny" Ruthba whisper yelled
"nope! you would not have believed it beside we already knocked three times so, either they are looking around to hide or waiting for us to just go away......so HE can just leave the room peacefully.
I told you Shawk, he is in there....the husband, why else do you think taking this long to open a door!"
''.....he who ? Insu" Ruthba got annoyed
"YOUR would.be.husband" Insiyaa answered looking directly at her
A gasp left and Ruthba froze!
''what did you consume before thinking of waking us up in godless hour, Insu" Shawkat hissed
''I told you... I'm not--guys shoo...listen'' Insiyaa shushed them
and miracle happened!
the trio witnessed how no one else but Shehzad Rahil himself opened the door from the inside, just a little.....enough to put his face out so he could see whoever was waiting for them outside.
what an i***t!
There was slight creaky sound came when he opened the door fully.....
"I need to polish this door tomorrow'' He muttered under his breath and it was still audible in that eerie silence.
"kaun hai bahir, Shehzad..."
[ who's outside Shehzad ]
"Koi ni....pakka Tayiji ne dekha hoga humein yahan aatein hue, isiliya aaye the"
[ no one, may be Aunt saw me coming this way and thought to check on me ]
"sahi bhi hai na.......aap apne kamra me jaiye, agar un logone dekh liye to ---"
[ she did right, you should go to your own room, if they sees us together then--- ]

and then a jerk and then sound of another pair of footsteps came rushing out........then they saw Farida flushed face, them closing the door behind them together!
And just to be clear, Shehzad never left the room that night.
Trio didn’t realize how they were holding their breath witnessing something like that........
"i told you before something is wrong with all of them.....everything around here is so -- shady, especially the taya and tayi" Insiyaa mumbled
Shawkat gave her a slight nudge and pointed at Ruthba......
she stopped her mumbling and swallowed hard before taking her hand,......."we can go there and clear everything right now or we can go back to our room, Shawkat will talk to baba and clear everything out......, we can leave, whatever feels right to you Ruth" She whispered
"Did you notice....Shehzad called his own mother 'tayiji', who does that!" Insiyaa pointed out
''Tomorrow'' Ruthba answered looking at her with a very serious expression....
"tomorrow we'll talk to Farida"
"her ? No- not her---i wa-" Insiyaa got confused
"kaan khicoge to seer apne aap aajayega" Shawkat mumbled nodding at Ruthba and her
