Pak, plack, pak.
Tang Ling rushed to the grocery at his fastest speed. The rain started and the drops were cold.
While he didn't mind the rain, it was still better than being soaked plus he didn't want to catch a cold. Medicine was expensive.
"Dammit! Damn unreliable Ducke! I actually believed him !" inwardly roared Tang Ling.
Ducke was his neighbor, he was 20 and had the habit to exaggerate skillfully. Today, Ducke said that it was impossible that it would rain as the probability was 10% on the radio. Despite knowing that Ducke might have lied, he still believed and didn't take his jacket.
"Tch." Tang Ling could only hole back these thoughts about how foolish he was as he beared with it and took cover in some places as he went to the Little Variety grocery.
In the Feng street, one could see some flickering shadows as it took cover before going into a new place.
After twelve minutes of constant running/sheltering, Tang Ling finally managed to come to the Little Variety Grocery. At the entrance, he could see a mid-aged man sitting behind the counter.
"Hello Boss Amin," said Tang Ling drenched in sweat at the "extreme training" he did just before.
"Two pair of black beard please"
The boss Amin looked at him and passed a towel: "Take it, I go take two pair of black beard; 3 credits. Special discount !"
Tang Ling thanked him, he used the towel to wipe some of the sweat and water while he took out three round silverish coins.
Credits were the name of these coins, their official names are Dimensional Coins. Its forging method is kept secret by the government and was created by the Higher Dimension Continent. They were universal, able to use it in almost every place that had civilizations. The coins were forged by mysterious metal and were imprinted a certain signature that was here to counter forgery. They were known as credits because as time passed, coins became a sign of power.
After a few seconds, the boss returned with some black beards, and Tang Ling also knew that in the pack it had more bread than other stores.
A little more.
But it was vital for him and Fuxi as they almost lived in scarps and a few savings wouldn't be bad.
After packing the bread, Tang Ling bowed at the boss and went out.
The heavy rain lessened a little bit and he felt good. But just as he left the store, he saw a huge shadow before his eyes.
No, it was a hammer of destruction.
A fatty was running at him and his body collided with him. Tang Ling crashed on the ground, he could hear one bone breaking and he vomited blood. His eyes were bloodshot, all he could see in the limited vision were some shadows and a huge face looking at him with panic.
What the f*** happened?
Tang Ling fainted as he could not understand what happened in this very instant.
----
His body oozed with blood as the stone touched his blood, it shined brightly before disintegrating.
As it disappeared, an invisible gas entered in Tang Ling's head, and a blue point tattoo appeared before it disappeared from his front head.
