Chapter Four
The walk to the edge of campus takes five minutes, and I’m sad to part ways with my protector. Officer Parker offers to call the NYPD and help me file a harassment report, but I don’t have the energy to wait around for a unit to drive out. I assure him that I’ll be just fine and set off for the subway station.
Three blocks away from campus, I realize that I’m still in trouble. I don’t know where he is, but I know that he’s still close by, watching me. A sick feeling spreads from my stomach through the rest of my body as I realize that Robbs probably knows where I live. I pick up my pace, tossing quick glances over my shoulder as I rush toward the subway station. While looking for Robbs behind me, I run smack dab into a thick, solid body.
