Chapter 4: A 100-Million-Dollar Wager

Fearing Stella would reject, Ladyship Wilson added, "Don't worry. The Wilson family will reward you if you get a huge investment from Andrew. And I will never force you to divorce Flores again!"

"Me?" Stella found herself in a woeful predicament. After all, she didn't know Andrew.

At the thought of this, she couldn't help glancing at Flores, wondering if he could solve the problem. But he was dozing off! 'I should not have had hope for him! I am stupid.' She felt bitter in her heart.

She had no choice but to tell the truth, saying, "Grandma, to tell you the truth, I don't know Andrew! It is Flores who brought him here! So, I can't get the investment."

Ladyship Wilson's smile instantly disappeared. Seeing her pull a long face, Ethan loudly mocked, "Stella, I did not expect you to be so heartless. You are unwilling to help your family! Your lie is lame. How could that loser know Andrew? Why don't you say Flores is the richest man in the world and Andrew is his  henchman?"

He wanted Stella to lose the qualification to compete with him for the position of head of the family today.

Suddenly, he loudly snapped, "Do you hold grudges against Grandma because she has neglected you these years? You feel wronged, so you want to take the opportunity to seek revenge, right?"

Stella denied with a pale face, "No! You misunderstood." Once Ethan successfully framed her, she would lose Grandma's trust. And her family might be expelled from the Wilson family.

Ethan turned to look at Ladyship Wilson and said, "Grandma, I have a suggestion. Whoever gets a 100-million-dollar investment within a week will be the heir of the Wilson family. Do you think it's feasible?"

Ladyship Wilson looked between Ethan and Stella. Seeing him so confident, she made up her mind. 'Ethan will take over the Wilson Group sooner or later. He and Tomas are good friends. They might have already reached an agreement about the 100-million-dollar investment. I should take the opportunity to decide on the heir!'

Thinking of this, Ladyship Wilson agreed, "OK!"

"Thank you, Grandma!" Ethan had a barrel of fun to hear this. He turned to look at Stella and said, "Stella, do you dare to bet? I don't think you should blame me for bullying you. I will give up the inheritance to you if you get an investment of 50 million dollars! But if you lose, you will be expelled from the Wilson family with nothing! Do you dare to take the bet?"

"You!" Stella clenched her fists and resentfully looked at Ethan because he took no prisoners! 'What should I do? The position of the heir proves an irresistible temptation to me! But if I lose the bet, they will confiscate our property and kick my parents, sister, and me out of the Wilson family! Ethan is evil. He will make me suffer more. He may even play dirty tricks to force me to sleep with Tomas.'

Ethan loudly asked, "Why? Don't you dare to bet?" Stella was his strongest competitor. He must seize this opportunity to destroy her!

Hearing his words, Flores slowly opened his eyes and said, "Honey, bet with him. Believe me." The position of the heir to the Wilson family meant nothing to Flores. But since his wife liked it, he would give it to her.

Stella's mind was a mess. She did want to compete for the position of the heir. After hearing Flores's words, she suddenly decided to bet!

When he and Andrew suddenly appeared during the day, she was shocked. It was probably what made her feel his words magically convincing. After making up her mind, she ground her white teeth, stood up, and replied, "As you wish, I will bet with you!"

Seeing her step into his trap, Ethan suppressed the excitement in his heart and said, "Great! Grandma and everyone present witness our bet. You can't get back on your words!" Stella quickly replied, "Don't worry. I am not as shameless as you!”

She would not back down. Since she had decided to fight, she would go all out!

"Grandma, I feel a little unwell. I'm going back!" Stella's mind was a mess. She could no longer sit still, so she made an excuse to leave. Seeing this, Flores quickly got up and followed her out.

Seeing them leaving, Ethan made a plan in his mind. 

"Hmph! A good-for-nothing man and an unfavored woman! I will drive you out of the Wilson family! Wait and see!"

Stella nervously asked in the car, "Flores, tell me the truth. How did you know Andrew?"

'If Flores and Andrew have a good relationship for real, maybe I can get the investment!' She thought.

Flores made up a story with a serious face, saying, "It is a coincidence. Andrew is my old school friend's father. When I was driven out, I came across him at the door. He said he wanted to invest in the Wilson Group, so I led him to the banquet." He did not want to reveal his identity, fearing it would scare Stella.

"What? So, you are not close friends." Stella felt more depressed. And her mind became messier.

She did not want to give up, so she asked, "Do you know anyone from banks or Investment Firms?"

Flores shook his head and honestly replied, "No. I don't know such people!" Indeed, He had just taken over Malia Palace and had no connections in Sebria.

Squeak! Stella slammed on the brakes and stared at Flores, saying, "Flores, why did you do this to me? Since you don't have any connections, you should not have confidently asked me to bet with Ethan. They will kick us out of the Wilson family if we lose!"
