Chapter 1Music bled into the street, a razor reminder of what hid behind the brick walls. From his vantage in his parked Mercedes, Erik Haden watched the couple he’d followed to the club stop in front of the bouncer. The leash the smaller man wore on his collar looped loosely around the taller man’s wrist. Both wore black leather, though the exposed skin of the pet gleamed pale beneath the streetlamps, and Erik caught only a glimpse of the owner’s profile before they disappeared inside the building. That was okay. He would recognize Travis Canavan in a dark alley with a blindfold on. Erik would need no help in finding him again, once he was inside the club as well.
