ARSAL
We were about to take the flight to Lahore when Talha came to me with a worried expression on his face. Talha, my best buddy as well as my right hand, seldom makes such kind of face. He is a guy who is always smiling and making stupid jokes every f*****g time. But I must admit that he was the only one who had supported me and helped me to come out of the darkness, in which I was surrounded after Ruhani's marriage.
No matter how much I try or say, still, some part of me is lonely and misses Ruhani every time of the day. I can't talk to her or embrace her in my arms, as she is happily married to Arjun, who is also a good friend of mine now. Ruhani loves her husband, and her husband loves her, then I should not intrude between them. Obviously, who will not love and adore a woman like her.
Well, I was an asshole for not appreciating her love and the efforts that she made for me. There was a time when that pretty little woman used to beg me for my time and a little bit of love, and me being an arrogant asshole, avoided her and made her feel worthless. Only if I could go back to that time, then I would correct every f*****g mistake that I made at that time, which made her heartbreak.
But I am happy that she is finally happy with someone who loves and respects her. The love in Ruhani's eyes for Arjun is different from the love that I saw in her eyes for me. She is happier with Arjun. The glow in her eyes when she is with Arjun is far better than the sadness in her eyes that was because of me. I tried my best to get her back, but they are made for each other. I could sacrifice every f*****g thing that is owned by me for her, then it is only my happiness.
"Bhai? Are you even listening to me?" Talha's voice brought me back to the situation.
"No! What did you say?" I asked as I shook my head.
"That is crude!" He commented.
"I know...now please enlighten me with what you were saying?" I asked as I took out a cigarette from the pack and lighted it.
"We can't take the flight." He said as he came to sit on the couch. All the worry on his face was now gone. I suspect there is some serious issue.
"And, why is that?" I asked.
"A girl is found in the back seat of your car, unconscious!" He told me as he lighted his cigarette.
"And why the hell are you so casual about that?" I asked, a bit louder this time, as I smothered the cigarette in my hand. Looking at the man in front of me and his stupid casual attitude, I knew I had o deal with this on my own.
"I was serious...damn serious! But looking at your casual attitude, I changed my mind." He said with a shrug, as he kept on smoking the cigarette.
"You know what?" I gritted out.
"What?" He asked with a raised brow.
"f**k yourself!" I said and walked outside, to look at the apparently unconscious girl. He chuckled at my sarcastic remark and continued doing what he was doing. We were at the airport, at a private VIP setting, waiting to check in any moment and here he was telling me that we can't get the flight.
As I exited the VIP room, to find two of my guards standing there.
"Where?"
"Sir, this way..." One of them lead me toward the car in the parking.
It was my car, the one in which I had arrived here, my black Mustang. How the hell did anyone manage to put this girl here? The guard who was standing in front of the car opened the back door for me to see. As soon as I landed my eyes on the sleeping petite figure, I knew who she was. But, how the hell did she come here?
She was the same girl whom I had met in Roy's club, twice. Needless to mention, she was the epitome of beauty, and she definitely had something in her that somehow managed to attract my attention. She was not unconscious, she was sleeping peacefully in my car as if she owned it. She was aware that I was not an ordinary man, and she was definitely aware of my vicious nature, yet she came in my car.
I was sure that she had intentionally come here and hidden, being well aware that this was my car. Whatever might be the reason, I can't leave her here alone, not until she is awake.
"Did you try to wake her up?" I asked the guards.
"Yes, sir! We called out, but she did not respond." They told me as a matter of fact.
"Call a female from the staff," I ordered them. No matter how beautiful she looked, she was a girl, and I could not touch her against her will. I had to call a female to help her out. She wore a black shirt and denim shorts. Her clothes were awfully dirty as if she had not changed them since eternity.
"Also ask them to bring some clothes for her...to my penthouse," I ordered them and got inside the car. I wanted to wake her up and ask her questions, but the peace on her face did not allow me to disturb her sleep, or possibly any dream that she might be looking for.
I drove off to my apartment, leaving my driver there. I had the strange urge to protect her from danger if any. And for that, I needed to take complete responsibility for this woman.
