ARSAL
I had intentionally visited the auction in the city. I was well aware that Arjun will come to that auction, along with Ruhani. And after the last encounter with her at Arjun’s office, I was confident that my presence affects her too much. Tonight too, I wanted to watch her reaction, especially after she will see me with a girl.
Yes, I know I was being a bastard, but everything is fair in love and war. Ruhani is my love and I won’t hesitate to go to a bloody war for my love. I had asked Talha to arrange for a girl who will accompany me to the auction. Although I could have taken any girl with me from Roy’s club, after the last time, I had felt that Roy was more than what he was telling me, so I didn’t want to tell my every plan to him.
Talha had arranged a perfect girl for me. She looked attractive, and she doesn’t throw herself on me like any slut. Her lips were sealed and that was what I had exactly wanted.

Fuck! It was a marvellous chance for me to buy that bracelet for Ruhani, but Arjun too was persistent to bid for that. Fucker!
But what happened was not what I had expected. Neither me nor Arjun, it was Roy who had bought the bracelet for Ruhani.
And moreover, Ruhani was not as affected by my presence, as she was affected the last time, or, as she used to get affected when we were together. She snapped at me twice during the auction, and she didn’t even pay any special attention to me, all the time, she was busy looking at her husband. Arjun was quite a handsome dude, but I guess I was not less than him.
And then this Roy, why did he has to jump in the bidding when I and Arjun were already messing it up? And moreover, Ruhani was talking to him like she had been knowing him for ages. What the f**k!
I was getting mad when I saw Roy's unusual closeness with Ruhani. After he bought the bracelet for her, she hugged him as if he was someone very close to her. I could sense that there was no lust in his eyes when he looked at her, there was warmth, like some brother-sister bond between them, maybe that was the reason that Arjun was so calm with his wife's closeness to the mafia boss.
I had stopped bidding after Roy stepped in the bidding as I knew there must be some purpose for him to do so. To my surprise, even Arjun stopped bidding after Roy bid for the bracelet.
There was definitely something that Roy was hiding from me. Even though we had shared a good bond in the past month, Roy had not opened up to me about his true intention of harming Arjun. And although he had lured me into making plans to destroy Arjun, he somehow managed to avoid the talk whenever I was up with any plan to do so.
I was starting to have a gut feeling that Roy was not what he was appearing for. I had told my spy to look into the matter and tell about his history and relations of him with Arjun and Ruhani.
I was sitting in Roy's club where he had first met me, waiting for my spy to gather information about Roy when I noticed the same waitress who had tried to seduce me the other day when I had first met Roy. She was not welcoming the touches by the men present here, even though every man present here was an elite. She had not come to serve me today, but I could feel she was looking in my direction now and then.
She growled and said something when a man was about to touch her ass. My lips ultimately curved into a smile watching her reaction as well as I was shocked to see such a fierce lady in such a place.
That man laughed and slipped some tip in her tray and whispered something to her with his lustful eyes constantly eye raping her. I was feeling disgusted by his gaze at her. She pursed her lips to control her anger and started to go back.
I held up my hand for her, and she immediately came to me.
"Yes?" She asked politely, standing before me.
"A bourbon." Although being a Muslim, I don't drink alcoholic drinks, but I just ordered them so that I can have some time with her. With a nod, she turned around to get the drink when I added, "Unopened if you please."
Looking at me again, she arched her eyebrow. I smiled at her reaction, then added, "Can't be more careful, who knows which of these started to plot my death."
"Pessimist much?" She asked.
"No, practical. And, more powerful than all the men here together." I told her proudly.
"An unopened bottle then." She said and once again before she could turn around, I stopped her by saying, "Two glasses."
Her eyes flickered around the couch I was sitting on, alone, and I stared back at her, she shrugged this time without saying a word and went away to get my order.
She returned with the bottle and placed it in front of me with the two glasses.
I unwrapped the label and removed the top cap so that she could believe that I was really having the drink. I don't know why I was doing anything like this to make a waitress believe me.
She was ogling me the whole time when her eyes met mine, I raised my eyebrow in question when I saw the flush rising on her cheeks.
"If you don't need anything else, I should go then." Her words came out flustered.
"Join me," I told her simply.
"I don't think that would be acceptable. I am working." She politely rejected my offer.
"I think it would come under the list you are supposed to do," I said sternly.
"Yeah, then I suppose you would also think touching me would be in the work category." She replied.
How could this be the same girl who had stripped herself for me the other day? And she forgot me, wow! Until now, no one dares to forget me, let alone question me, and here she is, rejecting my very polite offer.
"Nah." I was not thinking to do any kind of nasty act with her. I added, "Come on, have a drink. And I mean just a drink. I won't touch you. Moreover, you look like you need one."
"Fine." She put down the tray and then sat down beside me.
"Don't try to touch me. I know how to shoot a man. I knew she lied, but I like the spirit though.
" Haha. Got it." She was nothing like those slutty girls which she tried to pretend the other day.
"So, what is a girl like you doing here?" I asked.
"Girl like me?" She questioned.
"Who doesn't like to be touched." She had already drunk half of her glass and I haven't even touched my glass.
"I don't like to be touched without my consent." She said before she gulped the remaining drink into her glass.
I filled her glass again, and said, "Fair enough. But then, why work in a place like this?"
"Money." She answered truthfully.
"Ah, money." I watched her drink and then said, "You shouldn't drink much."
She smiled, "I could drink three bottles of this and still shoot a man."
"Ouch, why are you so consistent on killing a man?" And we both laughed together. She was so innocent. She didn't know about the cruel the world could be. It was an innocent act that she was trying to look brave by telling me that she knew how to shoot. I had last laughed like this when Ruhani was with me.
"You haven't drunk a single sip yet." She gestured towards my filled glass.
"I am a Muslim, I don't take alcohol," I answered truthfully, staring at her with my intense gaze.
I knew she could feel me.
"You don't look like you belong to this place." She tried to change the subject, and I too was okay with the change of subject.
"Yeah, I am from Pakistan." She looked more interested in continuing the conversation with me, after hearing about my native place, just like how Ruhani had become interested in me after I had told her that I belong to Pakistan.
"Why are you here then?" She asked curiously.
"For business purpose, and..." I paused thinking about Ruhani.
"And?"
"For the girl I love."
"Why are you here alone then?" Her questions were not coming to an end, though her every question was valid.
"Because she is at her home with her husband probably." I don't know why I was telling her the truth.
"So you are stalking a married woman?" Her words hit like a realization in my chest.
"She was my girlfriend then, and she loved me with all her heart when she was with me."
"Does she know that you came all way to India, just for her sake?" I shook my head and before I could say anything, she added, "I know this business is just an excuse to chase her." Smart woman.
"I met her twice, but she looked happy with her husband every time I saw her, and maybe she doesn't want to talk to me when she is with her husband," I stated as a matter of fact.
"Or maybe she doesn't want to talk to you either way."
"Excuse me?"
"Yeah, obviously you might have messed up, that's why she got married to someone else. You should not force her for anything." She said before she gulped another glass, all in one go.
"You should try to talk to her once, telling her your side of the story, but you should respect her decision. If she wants to be with her husband, then let be." Maybe she was right.
I had never respected Ruhani's decision, always dominated her in every way, but she should have the freedom to choose her partner.
"If we love someone, then our happiness lies in their happiness." Tears were brimming in her eyes by now.
I did not say anything.
"My duty is over, I should get going now, all the best for your girl." And she left immediately before I could ask her name.
Unknowingly, this girl had me realize a lot.
