I started cleaning an hour after putting Heidi to bed, which was minutes after Jack left. After two hours of cleaning things were spotless, and no news. So then I baked myself some cupcakes, made the frosting and everything.
And then cleaned that stuff up I took a hot bath, again. Then I tried to talk to him through the bond but it was like it was empty. Like he wasn't there anymore. I tried to comfort myself by holding onto his pillow and just inhaling his scent.
I kept trying the bond but after another half hour I couldn't help but start crying. I cried so hard and for so long that I passed out. The sun was shining when the front door opened. I was up and out of the room while rubbing my face only to see my dad.
