Chapter Eight KATIE'S P.O.V. As I approached the Star bucks on the corner, the streets were deserted. The only thing in sight was a massive 4x4. I knew it was Josh because he was stood, leaning against the side of it. I picked up my pace and practically ran over to him. A smile, Wide on my face. He was facing the beach., looking up at the sky. A cigarette hanging out of his mouth. Man, he looked so sexy. As I got closer, he must have heard me because he turned and smiled when he saw me, I stopped a few feet away from him. 'Hey' was all I could say. I really didn't know what to do. 'Hey' he replied as he flicked his fag away, he walked towards me, wrapping me in a tight hug. I hugged him back. 'So, what do you want to do?' I asked. There want much we could do. It wasn't even 5 in the morning. The sun hasn't even come up yet. 'Don't know. We could go and talk or something.' He suggested. I nodded. 'Yeah sure' I told him. We walked over to a bench, over looking the beach. We sat down and I looked straight a head at the ocean. 'So, tell me about yourself' Josh said. I turned to look at him.   'Well, what do you want to know?' I asked. 'Ummm...do you have  a boy friend?' I just looked at him, he shrugged his shoulders. 'No, I don't, you know these questions are two way right?' I asked He nodded. 'Do you have a girl friend?' I asked him. He looked away from me. 'You don't have to answer, its fine' I told him, but he shook his head. 'No, it's fine. I'm actually married.' My heart sank.. seriously? he was married?! 'Well, Technically. We are in the process of getting a divorce.'  'Oh?' I heard the happiness in my own voice and then instantly felt bad. 'Sorry'.  'It's ok'. He wouldn't look at me.  'What happened?' He let out a sad sigh.  'She cheated'. I didn't know what to say. That was so sad. Before I had a chance to say any thing, He changed the subject. 'So, Do you play any instruments or?'  'Yes, guitar, drums and I can sing a little to. Before I moved over here, I was in a band with my friends. I loved it' I said, half to him and just half to myself. 'What did you play?' He asked I snapped out of what ever it was I was in and answered him. 'Lead guitar, but I was the back up drummer and singer.' I told him. He seemed impressed. I thought back to all the times and all the fun me and my friends had and I started smiling. 'Whats made you so happy?' Josh asked. 'Nothing, I was just thinking of all the good times I had with my friends' I smiled, looking down, realising I was sad a little too. 'Like what?' I smiled again and looked up to face him. 'Well, there was this one time where me and the singer, Matt, had this little battle, he was singing and I was playing my guitar. It was just a bit of fun, any way, he decided to sing Hollywood undead – Everywhere I go. He away parading around the stage, with his hands in the air, rapping. It was so funny. But, I won with the guitar solo I decided to do. It never fails, but unfortunately, Matt fell off the stage and broke his arm so our teacher said we couldn't do it any more. It was pretty hilarious.' I told him, Josh was chucking a little at what I just told him. 'So, what solo did you do. I want to know if you worthy enough to be my friend?' He said in a joking tone. 'Just An Avenged Sevenfold one'. 'Awesome, Ok, You're worthy to be my best friend, Well, one of' he smiled at me. We made eye contact for a moment before I broke it and looked back out over the sea. We stayed talking for a very long time, talking about random, personal and private things. It was past 6 am when the sun started coming up. It was beautiful to see the sun rise over Huntington beach. I could feel Josh's eyes looking at me, and when I turned around, his lips crashed down on mine. I could feel fire works going off in my stomach. It was the happiest moment of my life. I was sat, over looking Huntington beach at sun rise, making out! His lips were like heaven. They were so soft and warm. I moved my hand up to cup the back of his neck,  pulling his face and there for mouth down on to mine, Deeping the passionate kiss more. He had his black fedora on so I couldn't move my hand into his hair but I played with the bits that hung down. He moved one of his hands to rest on the back of my head, playing with my hair while the other was wrapped around my waist, keeping me to him. After about a minute, I pulled away and got up. 'I really think I should go!' I told him, before running away, back towards home. I could hear Josh shouting my name but I ignored him. I ran all the way back home. I was out of breath, but I didn't stop. As I turned on to my street, it was deserted. Except for one car, pulling out of my drive way and heading in the opposite direction. How did I not see it in the drive way before?. It was massive. I guess it was who ever mom had in her room. As I walked up to my door, my phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out and checked it. I had three missed calls and 5 messages all from Josh. Message one; 'God, Katie, I'm so sorry, please'. Message two; 'Katie, talk to me, I didn't mean to upset you. Message three; 'Babe, please, if I upset you, I'm sorry' Message four; 'Please answer your phone, I want to talk to you.' Message five; 'Ok, fine, if you don't want to talk to me, I'll leave you alone. I thought you liked me, that's the only reason I kissed you. I guess I got it wrong. But please, believe me, I am so sorry'. That was the last message. No texts or phone calls after that. I put the phone back in my pocket and opened the front door. I was surprised to see my very angry looking mom in the front room, waiting for me...........
