I'm quiet all through dinner. Jesse seems to understand that I need some me time and he lets me be. I just said yes to a marriage proposal; If you would even call that a proposal. I have known Jesse for like two days and now look at me. I'm seated across from him in a posh restaurant and we are getting married in three days. I can't eat anymore. I dab my lips with my towel before taking a small sip from my water glass. "You are jumpy." Jesse observes quietly and I finally look at him. "Thank you." He doesn't find my attempt at humour funny. He pushes his plate to the side and leans forward on the table. "You won't regret getting married to me. It's for the best." "Very funny because I'm already regretting barely thirty minutes after I said yes to your proposal." He chuckles.
