Anya’s slender fingers slid across the white and orange tiger cat, performing a discrete inspection. Tigger had a pouch; he looked well fed and hydrated. His eyes were clear and not runny. His coat needed brushing, evidenced by the amount of hair he shed with each stroke. The tender pink pads of his four paws were smooth. His claws were much too long. I can’t avoid them forever by inspecting Tig. I need answers. Anya cringed. Her first question was straight out of a B movie script. I refuse to ask where I am.
