Chapter 5

We were both quiet when we went to the kitchen to prepare some food. I showed him the sandwiches that I already made and just decided to add some chips too. Everyone decided to play some game so I think chips will be good.

I turned to look at Seije to tell him to just bring the food outside already but I caught him watching me preparing the juice.

"Uhm.. you can bring the sandwiches and chips first, I.. I can bring this one alone."

He shook his head, "No, finish that and I'll wait for you here. We'll go out together."

"O-Okay.." I said awkwardly and continued what I'm doing.

I find it really hard to concentrate when he's just near me watching. My hands trembled when I reached for the glasses and he was immediately beside me to help.

"Thank you.." I murmured.

"Just bring the food and I'll bring the glasses and the pitcher, these are heavy for you."

"O-Okay.." I nodded and turned to the sandwiches and chips instead and then we went out together, like what he wanted.

We found our friends conversing already. I smiled at them and showed them the food, "Here's some snack."

"Let's start the game then?" Claire said excitedly.

I nodded. I tried to sit at the space between Misty and Aubrey but Seije held me on my waist and pulled me to the vacant sofa. My eyes widened at the sudden touch and I think he saw it because he let go of me right away.

He sat on that sofa and tapped the space beside me, "Sit here."

I nodded awkwardly as I sat beside him. Thankfully everyone looks so busy with the food, they didn't seem to mind about me and Seije.

I sat beside him and saw him watching me, I smiled.

The game started after eating and everyone decided to play truth or dare. We used to play this at the dorm but it sounds exciting now because we're with other people.

It was fun, I was having fun until the bottle stopped infront of Seije and he immediately he's doing a dare. My eyes then widened when Claire smirked before she demanded him to kiss me.

I looked at her unbelievably but she's smirking and it show she's having fun. Really Claire?

I looked at Seije awkwardly, "U-Uhm.. you have other choice if you don't want--" My eyes widened when he held me on my nape and pulled me closer to him so he can kiss me.

Everyone cheered when his lips touched on mine and I was.. I was unable to move. He sucked on my lower lip and I gasped for air immediately. It's definitely not our first kiss, I can still remember the hot kiss we shared in the club that night. I was drunk that time but his kisses are unforgettable. And we kissed on our wedding day too. But right now, it's just different and it's crazy.

I don't know how did we stop and how did the game continued. I feel like my soul left my body because of that numbing kiss, I completely lost track of what's currently happening.

“Like seriously? Why does it have to be me?!” I heard Misty's growl and I looked at her.

“Just shut up, it's as if I like to hold your hand.” The guy named Drake said. He sat beside Misty so he can hold her hand. Is that the dare? Hold her hand? Seriously? Where is this game heading? Why do I find the dares intimate? These guys doesn't even know each other.

Drake spinned the bottle and it stopped on their friend named Brent. I was shocked that he didn't even wait for him to choose between truth and dare and he asked him a question right away.

“Your girlfriend, who is she?” 

Everyone fell in silence. Brent doesn't look okay too, I wonder what's happening and what's with the shift of mood.

“Answer my question Brent.”

Brent sighed and my eyes widened at his answer. “Dianne Marcoitte, your sister.”

"What? Are you serious now Brent?" Tyler asked unbelievably.

The mood is really getting bad when my phone suddenly rang and everyone turned to look at me. I had to excuse myself from them for a while.

I went out of the house to take the call from an unregistered number. "Hello?"

"Oh hello Lorraine.."

“Yes, speaking. Who’s this?”

[Oh I'm sorry, you're cutting in and out, I can't hear you properly]

“Oh I'm sorry, wait..” I heard the signal for other networks here is bad, I guess it;s kinda true. I went to the garage and checked, "How about now?"

"I'm sorry it's still.."

I sighed and decided to just get out of the big gates of the house. "How about--"

The girl on the other line laughed, "I didn't know you're that easy, girl."

My eyebrows furrowed, "Huh?"

But it's too late to get inside the gates anymore. I heard a loud sound of gun from somewhere and I screamed and immediately ducked. What is that?

Another one came from the other side and I screamed again. My phone fell on the floor and before I could even pick it up, someone already scooped me and put me inside a car. My eyes widened and my initial reaction is to panic until I saw who the driver is and found out it's Shaw.

"Shaw?"

“s**t! Where the hell is that fvcking Seije!" He cursed while driving. I can hear the consecutive loud thuds because of the gunshots hitting his car. 

"Lorraine, are you alright?” He glanced at me while driving. “Put on your seatbelts, weneed to get out of here.”

"W-What's happening?" I said, unable to move because I'm still panicking. "Seije is in the house and our friends are there too! We need to go back and secure them too!"

“Calm down alright, your friends will be safe. It’s you who needs to get out of here.”

My forehead creased,  “What are you saying? Shaw I swear I don't understand anything. Can you tell me what’s happening?”

He sighed in frustration, “I can’t tell you Lorraine, I'm sorry. Seije should be the one explaining to you and why the hell did he let his fvcking guards down!”

W-What? What's really happening?
