Chapter 13

1045 Words

STILL FIVE YEARS AGO James hadn't thought a lot when he had asked Tessa to help him. His purpose was that he simply needed someone, someone who knew when everyone was the busiest so that no one noticed his absence. However, when he brought her to his chamber, he could see that she had stiffened up a bit. Not realizing what exactly had she been thinking, the young Prince sat down on his chair next to his bed, and looked at her curiously. She stood in front of him, her head bent a little as she stared on the floor. Her shoulders were as tense and stiff as a log. Her posture made James' neck hurt. "Miss Tessa," He called softly. "you seem really tense. Is everything alright?" "Oh, yes Prince James. It is just that this is your royal chamber. I am uncertain if my presence is needed here."
