Madison's POV:
There was silence in the room as the morning light began to softly illuminate the floor through the curtains.
I held Eldon close to my chest as I sat by the window. In these uncertain times, his small and warm body against mine gives so much comfort.
I began to rock him gently as I hum a lullaby under my breath.
Rowan is yet to return back to the room since he left during the early hours of the morning. As much as I want to stay calm, my mind can't help but get worried.
My chest tightens each time he tends to be far away from me, even if it's for a brief moment.
I became grounded as Eldon moved slightly and held my fingers tightly in his tiny hand.
Despite myself, I smiled as I looked down at his calm face.
