Prologue
A man stood in front of a big cooking pot and he was dumping a lot of hideous things in it. He picked up the spoon and started stirring it. His eyes turned white when he started muttering an incantation and soon, the pot started boiling and he kept stirring and muttering his spell.
The door opened and a woman with snow white hair entered. She walked closer to the man in hood and bowed. “My Lord, I am sorry but we lost track of them again.”
“What?” the man yelled, turning around and his white eyes turning yellow with black lines immediately as he grew extra five feet.
The woman cowered and took steps back, backing against the closed door. “It’s not my fault, My Lord. It’s the pure blood witch, somehow she always know we are coming and they leave before we get there. I have tried casting location spells on the things they left behind in their old homes but she had put a spell on them, my location spell isn’t working.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” The man asked in a distorted voice. “You are a coven leader, how can a mere witch be stronger than you?”
“You don’t understand how the witch world work. You may have gotten the power of a pure blood witch but even you can see that you don’t have her visions.”
“So you are mocking my failures now?”
“What, no, of course not. I just want to explain to you how the witch world works. I may be a coven leader but she is a pure blood witch who had taken more than nine hundred years to perfect her spells.”
“And so what? You are over a thousand.”
“Yes I am but she is a pure blood. I am just a witch who had happened to give herself longevity through millennium old spells. Also, losing my position as the coven leader dwindled my powers.”
“So what are you telling me? That I have gone through all those troubles to kill the vampire prince only to lose at the end because I can’t get hold of his mate and his unborn child? Very soon, that boy would be born and with each day he lives, his powers would be getting stronger. I can only successfully kill him now that he is still in his mother’s womb. Find her Melissa, otherwise you and your so called sisters would pay a hefty price, do you understand?”
Melissa nodded while shuddering in fear, “yes my Lord. I will keep trying my best and I won’t rest until I have found her.”
“Good for you.” The man said, now returning back to his human form. He heaved a deep sigh and nodded, “the potion is ready, send Cedric in on your way out. I need to be carrying out my second plan while waiting for the ingredients for the primary. And you better be quick to bring it.”
“Yes my lord, I will not let you down?” she bowed and turned around, opening the door. She shut the door silently when she was out and heaved a sigh, glad to have come out alive.
“Well, what did he say?” a woman asked and she glared at her.
“What do you think?” She hissed before shoving past her and walking away. The woman sighed and followed behind her silently. “Irene has humiliated me for the last time, when I get my hands on her, I will…” she exhaled and closed her eyes to calm herself. “What did you get from their resident?”
“I found a towel that smelled like a witch, so it must belong to her.”
“Good, tell Mary to get ready for the location spell.”
“Yes, sister,” the woman bowed and they both left the hallway.
