KLAUD
Mia and I were a hot mess of snots and tears when we hugged Peter goodbye. I never for the life of me imagined that Peter was the one to go back to NYC, among the three of us. Our plans to enjoy the emerging medical science were now left on the shoulders of two women, just Mia and me.
After Peter’s last wave, just before he entered the door that would lead him to the boarding area, Mia and I turned around to go back with cascading tears in our eyes.
“So–, just the two of us? Could we make it here?” Mia asked after pulling a tissue box from her bag.
“I guess Peter’s destiny was different from ours after all,” I replied sadly. But I somehow believed in this destiny thing, the universe has other plans for Peter, and we must be happy for him.
“How could he not nail it?
