Chapter 3 A month flew by. Adam rolled awake at the first light peeping past the half-open curtains. He rested on his side, with his head in hand, and stared at the handsome man next to him. Taking his grandmother’s advice, he counted his blessings while he still had them. He loved Marc for his attributes and imperfections. While Adam’s family accepted his being gay, Marc’s family was the poster child for the polar opposite. Like Marc predicted, Adam’s dad came through the heart surgery with ease, and the doctor said his great health was a contributing factor. Adam had a good career, and he was happy.
