Chapter Nine

765 Words

I try to focus but instead my mind ends up on what happened earlier in Biology. The voice inside my head. It wasn't a distinct voice as in if someone spoke I would know if it was them or not. Then I start to think I'm insane and the whole thing was just a figment of my imagination. "What's with you?" Lauren asks from beside me as she steers the car down a street. "Nothing, I'm just really tired." I say. She takes one hand from the steering wheel and holds my shoulder. "We'll have an early night if you want okay?" I nod and smile at her. In my mind, I don't know why I didn't tell her the truth. She's my best friend she'll probably believe me and make up some crazy story as to how it's true. But in my heart, I know why I didn't tell her. She's been acting weird these past couple of days.
