"W-why are you staring at me?!" I asked him off. I woke up and the first thing my eyes saw were those pair of beautiful blue eyes staring at me.
"It's late," he said, "Go and have your dinner," he told me and left like that. What was that?
I stayed in bed for a few minutes before I decided to go out, and it seemed that a maid--- the one who had been assigned to me earlier had been there and waiting for me. She is bowing her head, waiting for my orders.
"Hi," I excitedly said and called, "What was your name again?"
"It's Anna, Madame," she said, and was so cold and obedient. I smiled at her.
"Can you show me the dining room?"
"It would be my honor," she said, and my eyebrows instantly furrowed at that remark. An honor? Isn't that too much? Or is that how the people here interact?
The more we walked inside this large mansion the more I was bothered. The ceilings are so high above, and the windows are so large. This looks like an old castle, a very luxurious one. There is a hint of modernness, but with every step I take there will be a feeling of long history.
"How long have you been serving here?" while looking around. We did not stop walking but she answered my questions carefully.
"20 years, madame," and I was taken back by that. That long? I'm just about eight years old.
"Oh, that was long," I smiled at her and I could see her willingness to talk more. I dug more. "Then... do you know who is in that painting?" I said and pointed at the portrait of a beautiful and fair woman. She had ginger-colored hair and a fancy, no, a Victorian dress. That must've been difficult. She had long lashes and luscious lips, a very beautiful woman.
We stopped and I could see excitement in her eyes.
"Oh, that's the late mother of young master Ezekiel, Marchioness Clara," she said, "It's so sad that she had to pass away when she was so young due to her poor health," she told me with a sad expression, and I can feel that even after, these days, she misses her.
"So Ezekiel was left that young?"
"Yes, and he had to inherit the family business at that young age. Unfortunately, his uncle had spoiled him so much that he had lost interest in managing it, and become like this," she is sad, as if she regretted not being able to do anything for her young master. Although he had such a bad past, it was not an excuse to kidnap me like this.
I don't know the reason why he did so too. I think these many are the same.
"Our poor young master..." she said and looked solemnly at the portrait.
"What are you doing here?" he asked and Anne was rattled and had immediately bowed her head. It seems that what she has been doing is out of respect and fear.
"Y-Young master!" she said, and I looked at him too. I did not say anything.
"I will take it from here, Anne," he said with a soft expression, and she nodded again.
"Yes," and left just like that. He sure has a lot of time to do this. I remained silent because I didn't want to talk to him but it seemed that he had no plans of doing so when he asked me...
"Shall we?" he asked and escorted me. I was taken back by that because... it reminded me of someone very dear to me. Ugh, wake up, Adelaide! For how long are you supposed to think like that? He is not Sebastian, he is the man who abducted you!
I still remained with no intention of accepting his invitation, but I was sure to go because I needed strength to craft my next plans--- be it escaping from here.

When we reached the dining table, he immediately sat on the corner where the head usually is. It was large, and twenty people could occupy it. Where should I sit? Do I sit near him? Or do I sit in the furthest corner?
"Sit here," he told me and I was relieved he did so. It's not that I didn't know anything about the etiquette of the elites, I've been to a lot of parties but this is the first time I needed to eat alone... no, with just the two of us do the table.
Awkward silence filled the room and I could feel his gaze piercing through my skin. He had this special vibe of him that makes you engulfed and drawn to him. He being handsome is an understatement, he is like a God who came down on earth.
"Why do you treat me so well?" I couldn't help but to ask, as they served me an A5 Wagyu steak, a turkey, and many more. Our table looks like a feast. "Aren't kidnapers supposed to be bad? I mean, tie me to a chair in a dark place, like a warehouse or something?" I swear at that moment he was just suppressing his laughter.
"Hahahaha!" And he could not contain it, his laughter had filled the room. I feel so embarrassed, especially when the workers sneak a peek and look surprised or horrified that he was laughing in the first place.
"I-I didn't mean to say that it was a joke," I said, and, I swear, I can put on a palm face right now.
"Oh my gosh, the young master is laughing!" they said and covered their mouths, "Are we seeing an illusion?" Ugh, is it really that special?
Because of that, I gulped a whole glass of wine in front of me. To be more calm and confident.
"Woah, calm down! That is a strong wine!" he said, but I don't care, and put it did the table when I was finished. I looked at him.
"Let's just eat and get it over with,"
I didn't realize that what I would be doing then... is something I'm going to regret later.
