"Hello? Adelaide? Why aren't you saying anything?" he softly called on the phone. I didn't want him to worry about me now that I had rejected his proposal.
"Damien..." I whispered because I am sobbing hard right now.
"Why are you crying?" He asked with such a dangerous voice. I missed that voice too much, I thought he's never going to talk to me again.
"I..." My voice crack because of both frustration and excitement. I have mixed feelings right now.
"Did someone hurt you... What happened?" He asked me with such a concerned voice that I regret now why did I even turn down such a man. He is always there when I need him.
"I-I'm in the hospital..." I said and I flinched when I heard a loud thud in his background. It seems that he is running.
"Damn!" He said, "Why are you in a hospital?"
