At night, Jilly and Kook visited Isalit bar. They are regularly checking the business, not for the bar but for what was happening around and in the bar or under. It was not just a casual nightclub, transactions always happened day and night.
Since they merged their business not too long ago, Jilly or Kook always tried to visit and check it by themselves.
Jilly was served her usual drink, Cosmopolitan.
"Can you get me three shots of vodka and two of tequila, Alex?" Jilly asked the bartender who was close to her. Because Alex was quick and neat. Something that Jilly liked in a person to work with. Even though he was not working for her.
"For sure," he replied and poured the vodka and tequila into shot glasses right away. Then, he laid them out in front of her.
"It's been a while," Kook muttered, seeing Jilly order a shot.
Jilly didn't mind him and took the shots in order without a stop. Her throat did feel the burn and it was strong but the sensation was good. The liquid made its way down to her chest and made a burning sensation. It was enough to cover the little pain she felt.
"It's quite crowded. Is there a new stock coming in?" Alex asked directly to Kook, but Jilly answered first.
"No, I was just spreading the word. I guess some people do listen to me well," she said, looking back to the dance floor.
"I see. Oh! The boss is here," Alex exclaimed as he was looking in the direction of where he was coming from. A few seconds later, Jilly felt a hand on her lower back. She tensed up as the hand touched her skin.
She turned around and found Gael instead. She secretly sighed in relief that it was not him. But now, she could see him in her vision line.
"Gael, you've heard," Jilly stated, forcing a smile up to her lips.
"Of course, so I have to check it out. I was hoping that you would tell me yourself. But, I'm so glad that I can catch you here," Gael spoke as he got touchy with her and she didn't mind it at all. It could distract her and he should have backed off by now.
"I didn't know you were here. Did your Papa know you're here?" Gael was the son of the Spanish mafia and he was strictly forbidden from coming to the US by his father. But, he would always find a way to get off his father's tail and fly out.
"Of course... not. I'll be in big trouble then. So, how about dinner?" he asked right away. He might not stay for long before his father demanded him to go back home.
"Hmm?" She suddenly didn't feel good, her head felt lightheaded and nauseous coming up. Everything was a mess a moment later. She threw up on Gael and hopped off the chair to let it all out.
Gael whined and quickly backed away from it and her. Cayne and Kook who saw that immediately ran up to her and helped her up before she got to smash her face all over her own vomit.
Cayne took over by carrying her in his arms bridal style and he occupied one of the VIP rooms to lay her down.
Jilly was the one who was not feeling well, but Cayne was the one on fire. He felt the need to take care of her immediately without caring what she would do when she saw him later.
"What are you doing?" Cayne heard Kook speak.
"Changing her clothes," Cayne replied with the obvious reason. He sat down on the edge of the couch beside her, so it was clear that he was going to clean her up.
"And leave her naked?!"
"Of course not! She has spare clothes here that I keep." Cayne replied to Kook who stood by the closed door. He kept on glaring at Cayne. He could feel that something was up between them.
"What did you do to my sister?" Kook's voice came out deeper as he set his eyes on him. He was suspecting something and he was going to find out directly from his mouth.
"I didn't do anything yet." Cayne thought that Kook was referring to the situation they were in right now. But as Cayne turned around, he could see that Kook was not talking about right now. Kook's look of expecting eyes didn't waver making Cayne gulp.
"Don't touch her. Just give me the clothes and I'll change her myself. Get lost, Cayne," Kook said, walking closer to where his sister was being laid.
"Go," he demanded coldly. He spared no glance at him and made everything clear that he wanted nothing to do with him anymore.
"I'm not going anywhere," Cayne said in determination. He would stay put and be here until she woke up.
"Then you need to open that mouth of yours and start talking. What did you do to my sister?!!" Kook roared out to him. His patience was never to be tested, everyone knew that.
His piercing eyes stared deadly at Cayne.
"I cheated on her," Cayne replied shamefully.
"With Kathrine? No wonder," Kook commented. He knew, he just never brought it up.
"What?" he asked in bewilderment.
"Come on, you think she only slept with you? And she couldn't even keep her mouth shut. Do you know why? Because she felt guilty for Jilly. But, she couldn't stop coming to you. I'm sure Isaiah and Katherine was a fairytale." Kook nodded his head in provoking.
"Move away now, Cayne. Don't make me put a bullet in your head. It is still a friendly reminder," Kook said in finality.
"I promised to fix our relationship." Cayne was still hoping and believed that he could fix their relationship.
"Did she say she wants to?" Seeing Cayne stay quiet made everything clear to him. Cayne was so done for and whatever he was going to do, it would come in vain.
"I'm sure she has said what she needed to say. Listened to her and did as she wished. You owe her to that extent. Don't try to pursue her when she doesn't want to. If over is over, then it is. Do you hear me, Cayne?"
