The interview in the C and S company was uneventful apart from the glares from different women that wanted the same position. I get into my apartment and go straight to the kitchen. I was starving. I decide to make some pasta and some grilled chicken. I'm used to the quiet life. Always alone. No friends. But for once I feel so lonely. Instinctively, I place my palm on my stomach and smile. Maybe I really need my baby. A thought of Sydney passes through my mind. I know he would be discharged two days. It is written on the papers with his face everywhere. I feel so compelled to go see him and me being me, I took my purse and left for the hospital. Once I came out from the cab I start questioning myself. I always did things without thinking about the endings. I was sort of the 'actions now consequences later' type of girl. I had to live like this to survive. 'Look where that led you now. You're pregnant with an engaged man' I walk to the front desk and find an older nurse. "Hi. I'm here to see Mr Kings." The nurse looks up from the screen and gives me a tired look. "Mr King's room is private and only family members are allowed." I really need to tell him about the baby. According to the news he has been awake for only a day and 'almost as good as new'. I let out a sigh and turn pretending to give up. I would sneak in to his room since I already know it. I slow walk to the front doors. I look back to see the nurse concentrating on the screen once more before I make a dash for the elevator. 2 minutes later. I am in the third floor that has the private wings. There are about five men with black suits and ear pieces. Geez! Talk about being rich with ridiculous numbers of body guards. I have to think fast. And I have the perfect plan. I hold the clipboard that I never bothered to see who it belonged to and try walking in my acquired nurse dress I had gotten from the storage room. Apparently a nurse had just changed into her clothes and I took them before she even noticed. It has a badge. I changed in the bathroom and kept the others in my purse. I go back to the third floor trying to appear confident. Perks of having a hard life. made you a damn good actress. I pass the body guards with a slight nod of the head and soon I am by the door where another one is stationed. "I'm here to check on Mr Kings." Fücking sweat had to start dripping now! The body guard looks at me for a while. "I have not seen you here before." I gulp. 'I can do this' Movies made this look so easy. "I was actually assigned here this evening. My friend had an emergency." The last part comes out almost as a question and I internally cringe. "I'm very aware that the nurse Celine Richards was here ten minutes ago." His gaze is on the badge hanging on my neck. Okay. I never thought this through and maybe fate just didn't want me to tell Sydney about our baby. I glance at the badge and see the same name. Oh No! "Yeah I know. Same names bring so much confusion. Right? But really need to attend to Mr Kings. You know how he is when impatient." I tried passing through the door but the big man held my elbow. "I don't think so miss. Go back from where you came from and avoid trouble. Go before my generosity wears thin." I should go. I really should turn and go. Go home and make that sandwich that I'm craving so much. Maybe I should just tell him how urgent this is. "I really need to get in there. He knows me and his life is on the line here. In fact I was the one who found him on the roadside and brought him here. I mean no harm. I really need to tell him something." The man glares at me with warning in his eyes. "Go home miss..." "Styles. Just inform him I'm here. He knows me. Please." The body guard looks like he is considering it until the door that I tried passing through is opened. The fiancé that talked to me passes through and looked at me. "What's happening here Ben? My fiancé is complaining of the noise here." Looking at her makes me feel so guilty. Her fiancé cheated on her with me. I'm now pregnant with his child. Will she forgive him? She looks so good and nice. "Miss Styles here wants to have a word with Mr Kings. She was just leaving." The woman turns to me and looks at my clothes then rises to the badge and her eyebrow lifts before she turned to my face. "You are a nurse now?" She has a smirk that mocks me. I feel the urge to roll my eyes but I decide against it. "I really need to talk to him. It's very important." she furrows her eyebrows wandering what business I have with Sydney. "What? How do you know him? Did you have anything to do with his attack?" This is not what I expected. I really should have gone home when Ben said so. I shouldn't even had come to this place. "Maybe I should just leave. I'll go see him in his office when he gets better." I turn ready to leave. Mission fa... "Bianca? What's happening?" The voice of the cheating man I had come for fills the now silent hallway. I turn so fast and come face to face with Sydney Kings in black joggers and a wife beater. "Isabella? What are doing here?" His face is filled with curiosity and surprise. "Um... I really need to talk to you." My left hand goes to scratch the back of my neck. It's an action I do every time I'm nervous. Sydney studies me for some time before he nods and turns heading back into the room. His fiancé who I now know is Bianca follows him as I take a deep breath before doing the same. The room has a bunch of flowers and two 'get well soon' cards are next to them. A jug halfway filled with water is next to the bed and a glass next to it. A white coach with a duffel bag is on the furthest right with a small table in front of it. The room is bigger and better than the one I had. It even has a larger television and a small fridge. Not that I'm complaining. Sydney heads to the bed and Bianca helps him settle in. Seeing this makes me feel guilty knowing that I might break their beautiful relationship. Gosh! I really should leave things the way they are. They both seem happy and smiling. But why would Sydney cheat on her with me? Why would he go to a club and get a one night stand? Should I really do this? Bianca deserves to know that her fiancé is a lying bastard. "I'll go get something to eat. Maybe a hotdog or something. Need anything?" Bianca asks Sydney. "I told you I'm fine Bianca. Just get yourself something to eat. You have to be healthy for the baby. Okay?" My world stops. Everything fades. No sound. No motion. Nothing. I feel my body being shaken but I can't do anything. Finally everything comes all at once. I hear my name being called and my shoulders shaken. I wince at the sudden loud sound. I look at the person to see a panicked Sydney. I remember him telling Bianca to eat for two since she's pregnant and suddenly I move away from him. "I have to go. I'm sorry for wasting your time." I knew I should have never come. I run all the way to the cab's picking point and get into one and tell the driver my address. I get out of the taxi immediately after paying and run to my apartment. I get in and someone comes from the kitchen with an apron. My best friend. He looks at my out of place hair and nurses' clothes. "Harry." I ran to him and hug him so tightly like my life depends on it. He hugs me back knowing I need it and takes as both to the sofa. My legs are wrapped around him and my hands around his neck. I cry as he plays with my hair silently until I cool down. "What happened B?" He asks in a soft voice that he uses when I have breakdowns like this. I'm silent for about five minutes. "I'm pregnant H." His hands still for a second before they resume playing with my hair. "He's engaged." I hear Harry take in a deep breath and release it so slowly. "What happened?" I tell him everything. About Ian, about Sydney and the interviews and about my new found family.
