“When will I be able to leave?” I asked the doctor when he came to check on me in the morning. The expression that appeared on his face questioned my sanity and was enough to tell me that I would definitely be staying for a few more days.
“You just woke up after two weeks of being unconscious and you already want to leave?” he asked, surprise very evident in his tone. I tried to talk to my parents and Alarick the day before, but my throat was hurting at the time and talking caused a lot of pain. Today I felt completely fine.
