Erin's Point of View
When I heard the first roar coming from the house, I initially thought it was Lucas. It was so powerful it made the ground shake under our feet.
The second roar was one of combined heart break and anger. The sound of smashing glass and exploding concrete that followed immediately after did not bode well. I was tempted to shift back into Sapphire, but I wasn't convinced it was a life or death situation, and therefore I could handle it as I was.
"What the f**k was that?" Lil asked, alarmed. I saw my own concern reflected in her rare colored eyes.
We had just finished our run with Maya and were dressing ourselves in the locker room that I'd installed at the pack house. It was one of my more awesome ideas! I congratulated myself again for being such a genius.
