The five minutes I spent waiting to see Maya were the longest minutes of my life. I was still in boxer briefs and an oversized t-shirt. Any fantasies I'd had about making a good first impression had gone sailing out of the window. Although to be fair, Hope's first impression of me was murdering her father. Anything was better than that!
Galen whined impatiently in my mind.
'No matter what happens, no matter what I do, you MUST stay out of this.' I told him firmly.

'Because things between Hope and I are complicated. If you mate with Maya, then, essentially, I have had s*x with Hope without her permission. That is not acceptable. I know you want your mate, but if you do that she will never forgive us.'
