FIORELLA BIANCHI
I knock on my boss’s office door before she shouts for me to come in. I walk in, closing the door behind me just in case she throws a tantrum about what I am about to ask her. I cannot afford everyone in the office to listen to my business so that they can start gossiping about me.
“Fiorella, I am busy; make it quick,” She says, keeping her eyes glued to the laptop screen.
What a way to welcome me into her office.
“Uhm, Signora Romano,” I take a quick deep breath in before I continue. “I am asking to take the rest of the day off. My work is done, and my editor has approved it,”
