“What the hell just happened?” Derek exclaimed as we all looked at the door the girls had left through.
“What plan?” Matt questioned.
“It’s a long story, but basically I need a team to go undercover to get a woman away from her abusive boyfriend. We found her five-year-old daughter where Ember had been left. It wasn’t livable. Ember convinced them to return to the kingdom, but they are all running from someone.” I explained.
“How did the little girl end up there?” Mason asked.
“Her mother left her before the boyfriend found out. She was more worried about him finding her daughter than herself. He owns some clubs, I think, and I have his last name. Ember wanted to go and, well, that’s not happening. When she called, she told Ashlyn about it, and now we are here.”
