We got some good news when Brody, Jon, and I stopped by Mike and Sage’s place later Thursday evening.
“Elaine is going to be fine,” Mike told us. “When I interviewed her at the hospital, she told me why Carrie wanted her dead. It seems she happened to see Carrie with a man who, Elaine knew from personal experience, was a drug dealer. Not that Elaine was a user, but her younger brother had been, until she convinced him to quit. Anyway, she saw Carrie with the man and thought she was hooked, too, so she followed her, planning on trying some intervention.
