"Assassins," said Satria.
Just before the purple smoke hit him, Satria's body suddenly disappeared because he moved fast. However, Leviathan, who was level 60, seemed to be still able to follow his movements a little. He immediately moved his mouth so that the poisonous smoke that came out followed Satria.
But now, Satria's speed is higher than when a job class fighter. Satria immediately shot behind Leviathan and threw a fallen tree trunk. But Leviathan quickly wagged his tail and smashed the tree trunk into pieces.
"Two more seconds," said Satria as he ran back to avoid the toxic smoke. All the grass and tree trunks around him instantly melted away.
"Quick attacks!" said Satria, who was suddenly near Leviathan's neck right after his purple smoke stopped coming out.
'Bukh'
Satria precisely hit Leviathan's neck, but the damage seemed lower than in a job class fighter. Since the beginning, job class assassins really need weapons to maximize critical hits, which are their mainstay.
"Triple burst attack!" said Satria. He launched a series of punches and kicks at high speed, hitting Leviathan's neck.
'Beukh'
'Bhukh'
Satria quickly attacked Leviathan's neck. Even Leviathan, who tried to fight back with a flick of his tail and blow of his fangs, couldn't keep up with Satria's speed. Even though the damage from his bare hands is not as severe as a fighter's, Leviathan even screams in pain if it is done continuously like that.
At the end of the attack, Satria immediately retreated because Leviathan spouted liquid venom with high pressure. Trees and rocks could directly split and scald because of it. The chase happened again, but he couldn't be caught at all with his speed now.
"This is the decision," Satria thought as he continued to run away from the venom.
"Three more seconds," muttered Satria as he jumped onto a large rock on the cliff.
'Srett'
'Sshh'
The burst of high-pressure venom stopped just a few inches beside Satria's feet, which were on the cliff. It meant that Satria's calculations were correct. The boulder of the ridge seemed to be starting to move because half of it had split open and blistered. At that moment, Satria darted fast near Leviathan's neck.
"Fighter," said Satria changing his job class right before Leviathan's neck.
"Maximum attack," continued Satria using a technique that would make all defense points and speed move to attack points. If he was assaulted in that condition, Satria would get a fatal wound. Hence the technique was only suitable for use in one-on-one situations.
"Thunder punch!" said Satria while throwing his right fist. Suddenly a powerful flash of lightning began to envelop Satria's hand, which moved to hit Leviathan's neck.
'Beukh'
'Bhoomnrr'
'Tarr'
Satria's punch hit Leviathan's neck, and a tremendous booming sound was heard. Now Leviathan's whole body was stung by a powerful lightning strike. Even the light of a bluish gradation illuminates the location of the cliff. The ground shook so violently that the water in the swamp flew into the air.
The birds in the forest immediately flew away because they were surprised to hear a loud bang. Other animals and other monsters also immediately moved away from the swamp location. The sound of Leviathan's roar also echoed around the forest, his body starting to blacken from being stung by the lightning strike.
Satria immediately treads into the swamp, which is now getting shallower because some of the water has evaporated. With panting breath Satria saw Leviathan dead and collapsed to the ground with a blackened body, a satisfied smile painted on Satria's face. He felt the combat sensation was more tense and exciting than what he often experienced in games.
"If defeating the boss of the twentieth floor is this much fun, how does it feel when dealing with the boss of the seventieth floor," said Satria while wiping the sweat from his forehead.
"First of all, I have to take the two fangs first," said Satria as he approached Leviathan's corpse. Satria tried to pull Leviathan's fangs out with all his might, but it didn't come out. He was confused because in the game, usually, the fangs would fall and become part of the drop item that appeared as a reward for defeating monsters.
"Looks like I have to break it from the base of his jaw straight away," said Satria as he tore Leviathan's mouth into a sound. After it was wide open, Satria immediately put his hand to hit the base of the fangs but as soon as he entered, his hand suddenly felt hot.
"Aw.. it looks like the poison is still working even though the body is dead," said Satria as he hastily withdrew his hand again.
This time he had no other choice. Satria hit Leviathan's jaw with his fighter technique until it shattered. He efficiently managed to pull out both of his fangs. But now, his hands are starting to hurt and blister. Satria immediately washed the fangs with water and threw them to the swamp's edge.
"Priest," said Satria, again changing his job class.
"Healing: cure wounds!" Satria said as he brought his right palm to his chest. A yellow gradation light began to envelop his body. All the wounds on his body began to heal again.
"Healing: recovery!" continued Satria. Now all the wounds on his hands were healed without leaving the slightest mark. If the snake's venom enters his body, maybe healing magic alone will not be enough because the poison that has entered the body can only be removed by liquid items such as an antidote.
"Looks like this is enough. I might have to immediately bring some of the body and scales to the monster collector as evidence," said Satria while stuffing some of the monster pieces and snake scales into the large cloth he used to carry the goblin's hand earlier. He tucked the two Leviathan fangs into different textiles on his back. At the same time, the fabric contained the monster pieces he carried on his shoulders.
"What are you doing here?" suddenly heard a man's voice not far from the place.
Satria gasped in surprise. After all, he didn't hear any movement of other people around him because he was still using the priest class job. When Satria turned around, it turned out that far behind him, there was already a golden-haired man standing with his squad. They were adventurers who had interrupted the fight in front of the association building.
"Don't you want to answer my question?" asked the golden-haired man named Gven.
"Hoi hoi .. who has destroyed the snakes? Aren't we the only ones taking the quest?" said a fighter with a confused face.
"Ah, I happened to be waiting for adventurers who would buy these monsters," replied Satria with a smile. He didn't need to meet a monster collector.
"Don't joke. We took the quest, and only we will get the reward. Tell me, where is the squad that defeated this monster?" asked Gven as he drew his sword. He guessed that another squad had defeated the monster.
"They have already left and entrusted the negotiations to me," replied Satria. He thought he would be more responsive to Gven's squad's assumptions. Moreover, they wouldn't believe that a priest could defeat a monster.
"Who is the leader?" asked a man with a spear.
"I don't know, but even you know it won't change that your negotiations will only take place with me," replied Satria while looking at the sky, which was getting dark, a sign that night had come.
"Too bad, then we will still take the monster," said a female wizard.
"Unfortunately, I will not allow it either," said Satria while raising his right hand.
"Healing," said Satria. Now his right hand was enveloped in a yellow gradient light.
"Hahaha .." a male fighter immediately laughed seeing it.
"Hahaha.. what can you do, huh?" taunted the other fighter.
"One swordsman, two wizards, one sorcerer, one assassin, one Archer, one lancer, one fighter, one guardian, and one priest. If they take a tier six quest, all of them or one of them is level 60. I assume they are all at that level for the worst," thought Satria trying to calculate his opponent's combat strength.
"Hehehe.. a beginner like you wants to challenge us?" asked Gven with a chuckle.
"One of my arrows is enough to take on a priest like you," Archer teased.
"Or to make it more exciting, we can just fight hand to hand, to prove how strong you are," said the priest, mocking Satria.
"I don't mind fighting anyone. But I'm not a good person, so don't expect you to be safe after dealing with me," said Satria while lowering his right hand. The yellow gradation light also disappeared.
"Fighter," said Satria quietly. He had to be on guard if the enemy chose the path of violence.
"Their armor, weapons, and equipment are all excellent quality, although not the best. But it will be a little difficult for me who doesn't have any equipment. Moreover, they could also bring other valuable items, "said Satria with continued vigilance.
"Ho.. you have guts too, huh," said Gven while looking at Satria.
"I'm just defending myself. Suppose you guys don't want to pay these monsters three-quarters of the reward given by the association. In that case, I'll sell them to the monster collectors directly," said Satria.
"We won't pay a penny!" snapped the male assassin. Now his body suddenly disappeared from behind Gven.
"They seem too arrogant, even though what's so hard is just paying without having to get tired of defeating the monster," said Satria warily.
Suddenly the assassin was already behind Satria, slashing his knife. Still, Satria immediately took Leviathan's fangs and parried the assassin's knife. There was the sound of clashing weapons, Gven as the squad leader looked surprised to see the fangs that Satria was holding, he immediately turned his attention to Leviathan's corpse.
"He noticed my attack?" muttered the assassin as he continued to press the knife.
The assassin jumped back to keep his distance, but a fighter immediately shot his punch at Satria. But quickly, Satria managed to withstand the fighter's blow without difficulty. Suddenly all of Gven's squad gasped in surprise because a priest with a level one like Satria could block a tier five fighter's blow.
"Stop you guys," Gven said as he sheathed his sword again. Fighter immediately retreated again, as well as the assassins behind Satria.
"Who are you really?" asked Gven with a sharp look.
"I am Satria, an ordinary adventurer who wants to be known by the world for what it is," answered Satria. The Leviathan fangs in his hands he inserted again.
"Which guild are you from?" Gven asked again.
"I'm not part of any guild or squad," Satria again.
"Alright, we'll pay for these monsters. But tell the squad that beat him, next time they have to take the quest themselves," said Gven. This, of course, surprised the nine squad members.
"Gven? What are you doing?" asked Archer.
"He's asking for three-quarters of the association reward," replied the guardian.
"We will meet again at the association. There later, I will hand over the reward to you," said Gven, ignoring the words of his comrades who looked still confused by their squad leader's decision.
