Part 2

"Hey baby," Tylor murmured, sliding into the gap between her legs. She gasped as his lips pressed against her hastily. Anna had been kissed several times, but every time he's close to her, she cannot help the blush on her cheeks maybe because it makes her feel like they are genuine. Anna dropped her head onto Tylor's shoulder, clutching at his grey shirt, "You are late." "I had an awful day today," Tylor sighed. "Oh?" She raised her brow at him, her hands sliding under his shirt. "Yeah, but it's better now," He sheepishly said, pressing a kiss onto her soft hair. Anna was aware that he had been getting increasingly affectionate with her ever since he told her about Aaron's feelings. She still couldn't believe that Aaron fancies her. It's so crazy. "It's much better now," He hummed. "You smell sweaty." She motioned towards his shirt and wrinkled her nose. Sweat clung to his forehead, and he had his grey shirt matted to his chest, almost too wet for her to touch. "I am sweaty," Tylor huffed. "Got back from the practice. It was brutal out there." "I figured," She teased, eyeing his dirty shoes and sweaty hands. Instead of taking offence to that Tylor grinned into her hair, moving his hands to grab the edge of the counter, right next to her thighs. The moment made her felt safe and intimate. Anna could feel his breath on her neck, her cheek. He was towering over her, his fingers brushing over the baggy sweatshirt. "Thank you for putting up with me," Tylor whispered against her lips, tugging at the hem nervously. Where was that coming from? She thought, staring at him. He was honest with her sure but never got sappy to the point she had to question him. Anna pulled back a fraction and studied the look on his face, her brows raised, "Looks like you really had a bad day, babe." He rolled his eyes, "I am trying to appreciate you! And here you are a brat about it." "Sorry, Sorry! How do I make up for my blunder?" She said, trying to imitate his fake accent. He always sounds better than her. "You can kiss me." She giggled, quickly rushing to kiss him. "Anna!" The sharp voice pulled her back to the present. She looked around only to realise that she was sitting in the cafeteria. Her eyes felt misty at the memory. It was not rare for her to remember all the fond times she spent with Tylor. Anything from a couple holding hands together to the flavour of ice cream triggered her memory. "Did you even listen to a word I said?" Ezra huffed, narrowing her eyes at Anna. Anna sheepishly smiled at her friend, Ezra. She still remembered the first time they met. It was in a first-year Psychology class. Ezra was seated beside Anna and forgot to bring an extra pen on the very first day of the course. Anna gave her a pen, and they soon became friends. Ezra was the most relaxed person Anna ever met. She had jet black curly hair and drove motorcycle-like her life depended on it. Most of them whispered behind her back, but she didn't care at all. Also, she threw the best parties on the campus which is why she's sort of widespread among them. It also helped the fact that she lived all alone in a freaking two storey condo! "Sorry, what were you saying?" Ezra pouted, "One of these days I swear..." "Anyways I wanted to know if moose is going to be annoying us this year as well?" Anna made a sound, slapping Ezra's arm, "He's our Linguistics Professor! Have some respect for Mr Mose." They both had the same major. Ezra wanted to be an English Professor which shocked her at first, but when they studied together, Anna understood why. Her friend was incredibly witty and dedicated when it came to taking notes and explaining her theories. "Oh please! You're only defending him because he lets you write anything you want for the campus paper." Anna shrugged with a knowing grin on her lips. "Our University newspaper is the number one media outlet on campus." Just like in high school, Anna managed to make it to the team. But unlike before she was not the editorial head. Her job was to report on the sports news and interview entitled sportsmen who have egos large than the entire planet. "And what about the bulletin board?" Ezra teasingly asked. "Stupid board can't catch up with our journalist team." "And by journalist team, you mean a bunch of sore thumbs who think they are doing something?" Anna crossed her arms at that, a frown on her face, "You have no clue how much work goes on behind the scenes. You don't know how many people are in a room at once just to record the news for the next morning that shows on those televisions no one sees. We are always brainstorming and making sure everything is running smoothly. It doesn't matter if we don't get appreciated, but you can't discredit our team though." She knew the struggles of being on the team and regularly criticised by the Dean for not doing outstanding work. They are a college news channel for crying out loud! She twisted her lips, thinking about all-nighters she pulled for writing an article or editing a script for the news forecast scheduled for the next morning. It's hard work, but she was dedicated, and it helped her take things off her mind. Ezra threw her hands in the air, "Forgive me for asking!" "That's more like it" Anna wriggled her brows before they realised it was too late for Psychology class. *** Dr David Fluer was their Abnormal Psychology Professor. He stepped in the room with his plaid blazer and a tight smile on his face. Anna sat next to Ezra in the very first seat because they were late by five minutes. Most of them had occupied the back seats already. The Professor introduced himself in quick minutes before turning outside the door. Anna couldn't follow his view because the door was blocking her view. "Ahh yes before we begin the class, I would like to introduce a new student." Anna turned towards Ezra who shrugged. It was their third class together, which meant the new student had Psychology as their minor subject as well. Not that it mattered to her. "Mr Russo you can come in.” Time stopped. Anna opened and closed her mouth as she heard the surname ring in her ears. Her eyes forced open in shock as she heard the footsteps getting louder. Her chest started beating faster, and she hoped that it was not the person she was expecting. Maybe she heard it wrong. Besides, there can be thousands of people with that same surname. Her eyes focused on the door as the person walked through it. Anna couldn't breathe. It felt like she was frozen in her seat. Stuck and unable to move, to process, to comprehend the person standing in front of her. It’s a dream. It had to be. There was no way it could be real. He couldn't be real. But he was. Tylor Russo, the love of her life, the one she cruelly hurt and walked away before the prom night and for who she would once give up everything for, the one which Anna once considered as her home, was standing right in front of her. It was as if he felt her eyes on him, Tylor raised his head, and for a second, their eyes met. She couldn’t look away. He looked different, older and oh so gorgeous that she wanted to cry. Tylor awkwardly cleared his throat, “Hi.” That one word rang in her ears. She felt faint. She didn’t want to face Tylor. She physically can’t. After breaking his heart like that and going with his best friend for prom, she didn’t have the guts to look at him. The last time she saw him...well it wasn’t something she would like to recall. All these months she spent pretending that Tylor was on the other side of the planet, happy and not thinking about her betrayal. It felt like a cruel twist of fate, seeing him look so unaffected and mature. She knew that Tylor would not be happy with seeing her again. No one would, after the way she left him. Anna spent countless nights tossing and turning in bed, having nightmares about meeting him again. Nothing compared to the very moment she was experiencing. She gripped the desk, her knuckles turning white and vision seemed blurry and hazy. Anna wasn’t aware, but she was shaking. A hand gripped her shoulder. She flinched, turning around only to see Ezra staring at her with a concerned look on her face. “Breathe Anna” She inhaled deeply, releasing a shaky breath. Her eyes watered. ”Are you okay?” “Yeah” Anna softly breathed, feeling his gaze burning into her skin. “Mr Russo if you can kindly take a seat next to Ms Smith” Dr David cleared his throat, pointing at the empty seat beside Anna. She held her breath as Tylor started walking towards her, his jaw clenched. It was not going to end well. ***
