I ran into the packhouse throwing the doors open. Thankfully I ran into the one person I was looking for, Jennifer.
“Jennifer, which room is she in? Is she okay?”
“I put her into the first one. She’s probably fine, still alive if you want to talk to her." She shrugged, picking at her nails.
“What did the doctor say?” I asked, barely holding myself back from running to the pack clinic.
I just needed to know she was okay.
