THE CHOICE, the unexpected heroes is the sequel to THE CONTRACT between heaven and earth. In the first book, a catastrophic political event threatens the Earth, which greatly concerns the heavenly leadership because the Earth is the chosen home for learning the most difficult spiritual lessons. They decide to execute extraordinary measures aimed to ensure the survival and long-term viability of the planet.

These measures include intervention by two volunteer souls, who will return to Earth and take human form. They are tasked with preventing the catastrophe, and if successful, will be anointed by the Source of all Love. The leaders choose two human subjects.

Brad Channing, a Navy SEAL, gets fatally injured in Afghanistan. As his soul departs, a heavenly being replaces it. Similarly, Sarah Peterson becomes a casualty of domestic violence. When her soul takes flight, a celestial being assumes her form as well. Once in the human guise, the two entities lose all memory of their previous lives and their mission objectives. It comes down to their inherent goodwill whether or not they can complete their task.

Brad and Sarah do not know each other, but they eventually meet, fall in love, and become engrossed in threatening circumstances that reach a climax on a strategic Air Force base in California. There they discover a conspiracy to assassinate the President of the United States as the first step in world domination. The rogue leader is none other than the commanding general of the base.

In a hail of gunfire, Brad and Sarah foil the plot at the cost of their lives. Word of their bravery and love spreads quickly and broadly to the extent that they become heroes for saving the Earth from a catastrophe.

THE CHOICE, the unexpected heroes continues the story from the first book and lays the groundwork for the third and final book of the series.
